I thought this movie was great! I go to the movies to be entertained, I have no idea what these others went to the movie for. Maybe they should have seen some Ali G before they went to see Bruno. I thought it was a good time and it had me laughing so hard I was crying. Don't understand how it got an R rating though, I will agree with that one but people need to stop being so prudish and enjoy themselves more.

All I can say is WOW!! How bad was this movie? I wasted 1 hour and 36 minutes of my life and it will never be returned. I dont even know when to start. The movie was awful and insulting. Borat was funny because the humor was "smooth" and natural. In Bruno, the humor was forced upon you and over 3/4 of the movie was just not funny. Im very disappointed in this movie. Wish there was a way to get my money back.

This is absolutely the worst movie ever". I would NOT recommend it for anyone to see. I walked out during the first 3 minutes of the movie. The movie theaters managers that allow this film to be shown in their theaters should be fired. Maybe it's time for the FCC to finally step into the Movie industry and start regulating Hollywood. This is the worst movie ever I had watched. It doesn't have any lesson or even a story. This is a not a movie. It exposes all the private parts and has shocking scenes including vivid scenes. A Cohen fan since Ali G was on HBO, I never liked this character and the bar was set high after Borat. Sacha Baron Cohen raised the bar again with Bruno. Exceeded my expectations and pressed the R rating to its limit. Never have I been so shocked at what I was seeing and laughing so hard that I worried I would need an asthma inhaler. mind blowing.

I am a total Borat fan. I am also in the fashion industry and was hoping for a dirtier Zoolander kind of thing. So much humor was passed by with the fashion world. I would have loved more of that. If Borat was 80% funny and 20% graphic, Bruno was 30% funny an d70% graphic. The funny parts are in the trailer, with a couple exceptions. The rest is just graphic and unnecessary. I left the theater in silent.. not sure what to say or think, almost like in shock. Extremely disturbing and graphic, but for me, the worst was the stupidity of regular people. If you disliked Borat, don't see it. However, I don't know what would possess anyone to see Bruno if they didn't like Borat. It is a pretty intense and graphic movie, so if you are the kind of person that thinks a "love scene" will ruin a movie, you probably won't like it either. Warning: This movie is not for everyone. It succeeds in what is supposed to do in that it makes the audience laugh but at the same time feel pretty uncomfortable at times. It is definitely intense! The movie Brüno has a lot of nerve (if you don't want to say balls). As with Borat, the movie's humor is based on shocking the viewer. And shock it does. Well enough such that for liberated folks it will be fondly remembered as an equal to Borat (though it does come off a tad bit more staged than Borat, it is perhaps more shocking). Cohen is literally putting his life on the line for his brand of ridicule and absurd over-the-top sensationalism. But neither movie wears well on second viewing as so much depends on that shock to get your gut to laugh out loud. So if you are interested in the movie, see it soon before you have heard all about it at the water cooler. The reaction of the unknowing audience is definitely worth the exhibition!

If you thought Borat was raunchy Bruno makes that film look down right tame by comparison. However, Bruno is every bit the equal of its predecessor in terms of social commentary. Bruno, like Borat, holds a mirror in front of American society and what we see ain't always pretty but in Baron Cohen's hands, it is almost always funny.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

I have to admit that I laughed through out the movie, but it was really really raunchy! guy-on-guy the whole time! very dirty, and not in a good way

I think that Sacha Baron Cohen and his characters can be extremely funny and he creates some hysterical situations "Bruno". That said, some of the scenes in "Bruno" were gratuitous and over the top in a way that I personally did not enjoy. I think that Baron Cohen has enormous capabilities as a performance artist but wish that he would continue to be creative, even offensive, but in a not-so-gross way.
No, I do not recommend this movie.
