I thought I loved his Borat Character the best, and I probably still do, but the creative energy and production value that went into this film as opposed to Borat was on another level. I laughed my balls off. I had to turn away from the screen because I was splitting my sides from laughter. Sasha is a nut, there's no question about it. If you're close minded this isn't for you. And if you think you're open minded this film may put you to the test. I laughed. I cried (from Hysteria). I loved this film. I will see it again simply to revisit the looks on his victims faces each time he scrambled their brains.

Oh boy, where do I start? Yea, Bruno was funny, if you are extremely open-minded. But if you're not, don't even bother. I did laugh a lot but not only b/c it was funny (at times) but because it was uncomfortable. The things he did, the way he acted was just insane. I do understand that it's just a movie and people are entitled to their opinion, but whoa!, his opinon along w/ his junk was really out there. I'm glad they blocked most of the reckless scenes cuz man that wouldve been too much. I will never watch it again, but it truly was an "experience". lol Good luck to whoever decides to pay so much to watch crude humor. It makes you think: What really goes on in Sacha Baron's mind; weird man. Funny stuff, but verrry strange.

His Review: Good for someone to test the bounds of close minded people, if u cant watch it, u cant take a joke. which is what this movie was, just with some really hilarious parts.

It was totally Bruno and funny, but should've been a NC-17 rating. I took my 16 year old son and was totally embarassed. He has also watched Ali G show, but this was over the top, outrageous sexuality and frontal nudity. Parents should be warned that under 17 should not be allowed entrance.

Sacha Baron Cohen is brilliant. I was pleasantly surprised at the movie. I did find some of it a little over the top but the rest was funny. Being a Brit I enjoy Mr. Cohen's writing. The character that Mr. Cohen created was very outrageous and going into the movie and knowing that helped. I think if you went in to this movie not knowing anything about it, it would be shocking. I would recommend it but I would cut some of the distasteful scenes.

It just depends on how "artsy" you are whether you will like this movie or not. You either have to decide if it is a movie showing how homophobic people are in this country, especially in the south or if it is a movie shocking you with nudity and odd situations.
I think it is a movie about both and enjoyed parts of the movie. It was a little over the top at times and some parts would offend even the most liberal person, but it is worth viewing.

I ordered 4 Bruno tickets from Movies.com for an 11:45 pm showtime.
I went to the Grove in Los Angeles, and the Kiosk not only gave me THREE tickets, but they gave me Harry Potter tickets instead of Bruno!
Not only did I have to switch the tickets to the right movie, but I still had to buy ONE MORE ticket from the Cashier.
MovieTickets.com AND the Grove ripped me off.
I also complained to get my money back because I did NOT pay to see the movie for five tickets, but the customer service department didn't even want to help me, nor did they get back to me for my refund as they promised.
These people are thieves.

Was looking forward to this movie as his previous film Borat was absolutely brilliant satire. This film had a number of funny segments, but overall many of the segments fell flat. Many were repeats of old material (for example, in Da Ali G show, Borat visited a martial arts instructor and the Bruno skit mirrored that routine). A few brilliant bits, but wait until video. BOTTOM LINE: About half as funny as Borat.

My boyfriend and I saw this together and we expected it to be like Borat, in the sense of it being the same kind of humor. I saw Borat and LOVED IT for its brashness, boldness, and 'in your face' taunting of society's pathologies. I expected Bruno to follow in line. Bruno is brash and bold, but with no social message. Bruno is the Sacha Cohen version of JackAs*, or a movie created only for shock value. Cohen slashes at every 'victim' of society, from Mexican laborers to the Christian Right to Arab refugees. He spares NO ONE. While the adult content is EXTREME, as an open-minded New Yorker, I tolerated it. I was STILL shocked, but not offended to the point of failing to see the comical redeeming quality. If you're one to like shock value, see this movie. If your sensibilities usually get the best of you, I'd save the $12 and wait for the video.

Cohen appears desperate. His last movie, Borat was shocking in a funny way but Bruno is insulting and hurts the brain. There were some funny parts to the movie but overall it paled in comparison to Borat. Sacha Baron Cohen is either a genius or truly crazy. I kept shielding my eyes through a good part of the movie. If you thought that Borat was bad, well this movie is ten times worse. Yeah it has some funny moments in the movie, but if I had wanted to see a xxx movie then I would have rented one from my cable company. It was very vulgar. I didn't expect to see so much nudity, especially full frontal male nudity. It was so shocking that several people got up and walked out. I don't think anyone under 21 years of age should be permitted to go see this movie. I was very disappointed.

I think that it was super funny. You do have to be very open minded. Very open minded. There are too many haters. Jealous that they don't have enough guts to make a movie like that
