No way it is an "R" movie. It is adult only XXX! Be prepared to run home right after to take a shower. You will need to wash off the grimy film that this movie will slather your mind and soul with. Interesting how the very nature of this movie should have the ultimate effect of inspiring everyone that sees it to never emulate Sacha Baron Cohen....or any of the ridiculous and offensive characters he manufactures on screen. If you liked Borat, you will like this. But be advised...some of the scenes in this movie might make you uncomfortable.
Overall, the movie made me laugh but...I dont know...there was something missing. Like a plot. I guess after seeing Borat 3 years ago, I expected something more clever...not the same shocking premise...just with Bruno instead of Borat.

I was a huge Borat fan, and was excited when Brüno was announced. However, after seeing the 12 o'clock showing last night, I drove home very disappointed. It was mildly offensive at times, and almost 90% of the time the jokes were taken too far. Crude humor is an understatement for the humor in this movie. I'm not going to lie, I did laugh hard at times, but most other times I found myself cringing in disgust. Overall, it was decent, but I definitely would have been perfectly content with waiting until it came out on DVD.

I saw and loved Borat, and so I was expecting a Borat-like movie. Instead, I got a movie that wasn't really funny. It was cringe-funny, sometimes, but more often it was just cringe. It wasn't really funny very often, which was a bummer. After a while I really just found myself wondering how much longer until it was over. Several others walked out. I will say that I heard the twenty-somethings sitting beside us raving about the movie on the way out, but I feel like I need a shower.

I will admit there were some really funny parts to the movie, but overall I thought it was pretty tasteless. I understand he is trying to bring some issues out into the spotlight, like parents who will allow their toddler to have liposuction just to get a roll in a some production. I loved Borat. A lot. I've seen it many times. Bruno was no Borat. It was funny but it was almost too intense and in-your-face for it to be enjoyable. There were a few things that were over the top. Bruno was everything I expected and a little more. It is hilarious no doubt but it destroys borat in regards to shock value. Some of the scenes were over the top but I think we all knew this movie was going to be way past crazy. If you can handle obsenity and boarderline pornograhic scenes then you'll be fine. you just have to keep an open mind and laugh about it. I thought it was funny, I would recommend it and I will see it again! :)

I am a BIG fan of this movie. I'm astounded at the bravery in Sacha. I watched, literally afraid for his life at some parts. I laughed almost nonstop. It's a movie you should be prepared to see. If you're feeling unsure, it's a good idea to talk to friends who've seen it, to know what you're in for. It is not a good idea for people uncomfortable with homosexuality. DO NOT BE FOOLED BY THE FUNNY TRAILERS!!!!!! the parts in the trailer were the only fairly funny parts in the whole movie. This was the biggest waste of money ever! I love Sacha Baron Cohen and have loved his skits from the Ali G show and this movie did not disappoint. More shocking than funny. What was impressive is how Sacha plays the game, can manipulate conversation, and stay in character. The true comedians though, were the bunch of clueless American citizens that bought into his antics. It was obvious that the Middle Easterners weren't so naive.

Those were the only three words uttered throughout the film. It wasn't bad - tasteless maybe - but it was funny. I was entertained. It may not be the most classy or plot-driven movies of our time, but that wasn't Sacha's point. He seeked to make you uncomfortable and to weed out and humiliate the general public that doesn't know their left foot from their asscheek and he did both of those things... and more. Definitely not something that the weak hearted should see but if you have an open mind and a pretty lenient sense of humor, I'd recommend this 100% absurd movie.

I just hope and pray that nobody from my family ever sees this movie. I understand we live in the land of the free and there is no limits to what you want to say or do but this movie is just pure tasteless trash. When garbage like this makes the big screens you know as a society we are all going backwards. When the movie started their was alot of cheers but when it ended their wasn't that many. You have to have dirt low morals and values to find this movie good. RIP the days of class and values!!!

It was 5% truely funny, the rest was just a complete waste of my time. Never seen sooo many people get up and walk out. The man had to have had no dignity for himself to make this movie. Crossed the line even for those who think crossing the line is funny. I cant believe it was so bad. You would have to see it to understand how bad it was. Trust me, Worst Movie Of Year Award is an understatement.

Hands down one of the best movies of this year. Sacha has done it again. I couldn't stop laughing, I about fell out of my chair a couple of times. My lungs hurt by the time the movie ended.

I recommend seeing this movie at least once. Its not exactly funny, but its very shocking, and awesome on the first watch. I'm not sure how it would hold up to multiple viewings though. I could see the shock value wearing off.
