Sasha Baron Cohen's latest character comedy, Bruno, follows the formula of his previous film, Borat. As Bruno travels the world in search of fame and love he encounters people from many differing lifestyles and orientations. While often hilarious the film suffers from the hit-and-miss quality of its predessesor. Cohen would be better off making movies with all actors in the cast instead of just himself as he has done in other movies such as Sweeny Todd and Ricky Bobby. Still in all Bruno is a funny and entertaining film for the open minded viewer.

This is definately a hilarious movie. Some of the parts are not even considered funny but just plain shocking. I don't know what people are expecting who gave this movie a bad review. Did you watch Borat? It is the same humor with just a little more skin and content because the character he plays is not straight. I will most likely go see Brüno again and i will definately buy it when it is released. Hahah funny funny movie!

The movie has a few funny moments, peppered throughout, but most of it is just plain boring. There are more unfunny moments than funny ones. A lot of walking around, camera following, waiting for the next thing to happen....zzzzzzz. Terrible editing!!
Borat was a much tighter, much funnier movie. Bruno is just loose and sloppy. I'm not sure I would watch it again, other than fast-forwarding most of it.

Ok All I can say its that its completely worth the money, Dont listen to all these reviews that where talking bad..The whole theatre was laughing all the way thru and I walked out with a sore stomach. There is some realy gross discusting parts..But If you have already seen Borat rember them running down the hall way? LOL Now what are you going to expect from Bruno? Sacha Baron Cohen has done it again. Brought the shock factor to the big screen like no other. It was what I expected with even more unexpected amazing twists. If you're intelligent, you'll understand the humor in this film. When I was watching, I did think that it probably should be NC-17 but then I realized that most kids have seen worse than this on the internet. Plus, we've seen the "privates" of women in many films. Why is it such a big deal when we see mens' bodies? This movie simply portrays what most Americans think...If you are a stereotypical American, you're gonna hate it because you won't understand the humor. It's bothersome to know that this movie is rated R. It should be X. How our standards have changed and not for the good. 20 years ago, this movie wouldn't have played in a regular theatre. This movie is for a more adventurous and open-minded viewer. There were so many scenes where I found myself laughing so hard that it hurt. The plot is sort of weak, but that is what i expected (and let's be serious, Borat's plot was weak too).
If you are easily offended, have a few drinks before heading out to the theater. If you enjoy a fun comedy that is lighthearted and has hilarious physical and situational comedic moments, grab a few like-minded friends and go for it.

Yes, I laughed my head off, as did everyone around me. But it was embarrassed laughter. My friends and family will have to stumble onto it themselves.
