It seems that, lately, movie-makers feel that they have to make movies stupid and center the story around a younger generation in order to make a comedy. With "It's Complicated", they've made a movie that is shout-out funny without this stereo-typical premise. Meryl Streep puts forth her usual charm, and Alec Baldwin plays his role very believably - and between the two, the comedic result is outstanding. Very, very funny movie. I highly recommend it.

I knew this movie would be a light-hearted movie, but I didn't expect it to be so funny! I had seen so many advertisements for the movie that I didn't expect there to be much left, but I was pleasantly surprised. It is laugh-out-loud funny at times. It is also sensitive with wonderful performances by all actors. I especially liked the character of the soon to be son-in-law. He is hysterical. This was a very feel good movie, and sometimes we all need that.

Very funny situational movie with excellent acting. The story is very appealing to middle age people, especially those who have remained married for 25-30 or more years. Sometimes the grass seems greener. But family ties go a long way in sustaining and nurturing a marriage. Having said that you can relate to the movie through experiences of friends. Once those ties are broken the pieces are hard to mend.

This movie was excellent. The acting was wonderful. The plot was engaging. I just don't like the end. My wife liked the end and thought that the ex-husband deserved to be left high and dry. I think he should have got the girl back. My daughter agreed with me too. But I guess that is why it is called "it's complicated". I laughed so hard that I almost cried and I don't usually cry. I am sure it will get awards at the Academy Awards.

This movie packs in the laughs. Early in the movie I was afraid it was going to be over-the-top but while it flirted to do so, it never completely did. If you can stretch the realm of reality even just a little, you will like this movie. I only gave it four stars because the children in this movie were just too unbelievable. They acted more like how pre-teens would act when dealing with parents divorcing. An exception would be for the future son-in-law (John Krasinski from The Office), while he hammed it up in parts, his character was pretty funny.

Super funny. Couldn't stop laughing. I was with 7 friends and they were just as enthralled as I was. Entire cast was impeccable but really enjoyed John Krasinski's portrayal. Well worth the cost of the ticket.

The people in this movie are wealthy. Their concerns are the annoyances of people who have no struggles in the day to day of living. Meryl Streep dithers over plans for an "addition" to her house, an addition that would seem like a house by itself to anyone else. This movie is just TOO FUNNY! This is the first movie in a long time were I laughed so hard my sides started hurting! Meryl Streep was wonderful, Alec Baldwin was great. (That says a lot since I am not a Alec Baldwin fan.) John Krasinski was hilarious, and absolutely perfect for the part! What a scene stealer! Thought it was hilarious! It was apparent from the audience's reaction that it's generational. Think Streep did a great job of portraying the teen-like confusion when she's supposed to be 'grown up' (we all still have an inner teen). Baldwin was good at attracting you but being the boor she divorced at the same time. Martin put his comic aside and did a wonderful job of playing a somewhat geeky guy who actually gets the girl. Expected a great laugh ride and got it!

We thoroughly enjoyed this movie! Meryl Streep, Steve Martin and Alec Baldwin were perfect for the roles they played. And we thoroughly enjoyed seeing it in the new Midtown Crossing movie "CineDine" theatre. We highly recommend the movie and the theatre complex!

Ok, this was funny and meryl Streep tried with what she was given--granted the range of her acting talent is incredible--but the screen play, the script, the one-dimensensial characters and the cliche's that kept on coming were insulting. Nobody went any deeper in the character then what was out in your face. Meryl knew she should have these mixed and complicated emotions and I think Meryl attempted to find them, but the script didn't cooperate with her. Shirley McClane and Jack Nicholson did so much better in the same story line in Terms of enderment. This was a funny movie but flat...I'm sure divorced kids found this horrible and upsetting, to once again be let down.
No, I do not recommend this movie.

I can't remember ever laughing so much in a movie. Streep is great as usual and its the first time I've ever really liked Baldwin.

The movie without ACTION, too much sound and video effects and still good one! Very rare now days. All actors are at their best as ussually. Close to the end you realise that it is not just a comedy but also a drama.
