There were some very funny parts to this movie, where i was laughing so hard I was crying. The storyline behind it though is a little sad, and if anyone has ever been in the situation it isn't really funny, its difficult and sad thing to go thru. Putting that aside, I thought it was a great movie, Meryl Streep is just phenomenal in everything she does!

We haven't laughed this hard in a movie in years. Streep is excellent as always and follwed closely by Baldwin and Martin. The supporting cast is also very good. I am not sure the 20 & 30 somethings will get as much out of this but for people 40 and over this is a blast.

This movie is ok at best and I'm being generous. There were some funny parts, but the movie trailers on TV told all. Good lead actors, but their characters just didn't have that oomph. The worst part of the movie is when the girls get together and justify the indiscretions of Meryl's character. It's stuff like this that influences women to bind together and justify that kind of mess in real life (I know first hand; I now have an ex-girlfriend for a sister-in-law; I'd put my next paycheck on it that every one of her girls {family included} helped her with that one). What happen to being truthful in movies or real life? The best part to me was watching Meryl and Steve Martin's characters when they were high. That had me rolling.

I thought this was a very good movie. It was both funny and poignant. I felt the pain of the characters, specially Alec Baldwin (who I strongly dislike because of his politics), caught up in "the complication". It was probably more impactful because I have been divorced and married my mid-life crisis. I will heed the warning and stay away from the "old" wife.

Silly and cliche. Funny in parts but in general pretty dumb. I still love Meryl Streep. I Could have done without "so much" of Alec Baldwin, His nakedness was a little stomach churning. The grown children where a bit oddball and there weren't enough scenes with Meryl Streep's character and her friends. Weird movie, predictable ending.

We found it a little slow in parts and not to funny but enjoyable... we were expecting more in the laugh area. And the children's reaction to a possible return of their parents was alittle strange. you would think they would like the idea but they just kinda cried...crazy.

A thoroughly enjoyable comedy, beautifully acted by all of the principals. I'm beginning to think that Streep can do no wrong (with the possible of exception of her role in Mamma Mia)-- but I hasten to add that Martin and Baldwin were terrific, as well. Over all a real winner. Both my 18 y/o daughter and I laughed til we wheezed! I think this movie will do more for children accepting that their parents can actually have a romantic life than any I have seen. John Karanski - the Harley charachter - was the binder that held the movie together - perfectly played. Clothes, Homes, and Bakery were all delicious.

The acting was so realistic. Ms. Streep was the epitomy of grace (but hilarious) as were Steve Martin and Alec Baldwin. Great story line and done to perfection. 10 for sure!!

Seriously, it's a great comedy! Domestic bliss (sort of) and a laugh a minute. The acting is great...what else from awesome cast of Meryl Streep/Steve Martin? It's a highly entertaining movie and a great pick for the season... Go and enjoy!
