If you have been married awhile - or even divorced. This movie will hit all the points why most don't divorce. The way you know each other and how you both know how to make it work if you can look past the mundane everyday grind....we are all 100% sexier and spontanious when we don't have to pick the right school, food, etc. You just have to make sure you still try to "do it" for the other party. And hey, a little pot goes a long way to make that happen. On a sporatic, once in a blue moon kind of way.

It was a beautiful movie. Absolutely beautiful and scenic. But it was way too much like "Something's Gotta Give," right down to some of the same music, which was irritating.
However, Streep and Baldwin made an entertaining pair. Baldwin matched Nicholson's aging badboy and Streep was just right (as was Keaton) in the 'divorced woman finding her feet' and "other parts" role.
Had it been accompanied by a different soundtrack, I would've enjoyed this movie much more.

This was a movie that both my husband and I enjoyed enormously. It was a great date night movie filled with humor, nostalgia, sensibility and a commonality that we can all relate to. Meryl Streep was endearing and Steve Martin was allowed to exhibit both a sensitive side as well as showcase some of his craziness that we all love. We particularly loved John Krasinski's role in this. He was a hoot!

Streep and Baldwin are great together. Both allow themselves to be emotionally exposed, vulnerable, real. The acting is superb. Martin doesn't have that much screen time, however, when he is on, it's touching and real. Different type of role for him. Go see this movie!

My wife picked this movie. It was recommended to her by her sister who also saw it with her husband. We both enjoyed the movie, but while I thought it to be good, she thought it was one of the best movies she's seen. The acting was good, the plot kept things moving, and it was beautifully filmed. It's true this film is hilarious in parts, but what makes it truly memorable is the sensitive, smart and intelligent way it examines divorce and human feelings.
When it's funny, It's Complicated is hilarious, and when it's serious, this movie is smart. Some reviewers indicated the movie wasn't funny all the time. Well, when the movie is not laugh out loud funny, then it's touching, genuine and wise.
Especially outstanding is the portrayal of the effect of the long-divorced parents' behavior on the kids. This is a remarkable movie. I can't say enough good things about it. An adult movie in every sense of the word.

I have to say that Alec Baldwin was absolutely hilarious and every scene with him in it was absolutely fantastic. Martin and Krasinski play a decent second fiddle. While thoroughly predictable, this is a well-written, smart, funny film. Great performances by all (tho' Martin is a bit underused for his comedic skills). Some scenes generated such laughs, the ensuing dialogue was missed. It was an enjoyable 2 hours.

LOVED this movie. Laughed til I cried. Hubby did not laugh as much but he enjoyed it also. I love Meryl Streep. Steve Martin was a little wooden but it didn't matter. Just great comic relief. Really fun romantic comedy for baby boomers. Compare it to Something's Gotta Give. A great fun way to spend 2 hours laughing.

Chick flick for sure. Ending could have been better. Scenes with girlfriends seemed out of place with rest of movie.
On the positive side...shot beautifully. Nice performance by Baldwin (he's a riot) and Streep.
