This movie ought to strike a chord with those of us who have ever thought about past loves and what if... Meryl Streep is amazing in her ability to let us feel as if things onscreen were happening to us. And bravo to Alec Badwin for letting us see him in less than perfect physical shape. The other characters were okay in their background status. John Krasinski was cute in his role as family mediator.

It took a little bit to get into the movie...but once it started...well I am not one to laugh really loud in a theatre...but I just couldn't help myself...I thought I was going to fall off my seat at some points!!!

Perfect movie for Christmas Day! Streep was, as always, very much in sync with her role, great acting, and although Baldwin is not a favourite actor of mine I thought he was extremely good as was Steve Martin. Martin's role should have been given more time to develop to justify the ending. And felt Baldwin was slighted in the credits given his character played a larger role than Steve Martin's.It was very funny, charming and lighthearted but with a message. Saw it with 4 friends age categories early 20's to late 50's and we all loved it!

My only problem with Nancy Meyers' films is her aim at perfection. No shadows, perfection in houses , perfection in everything. Alec and Meryl are terrific and create an extremely well defined comedic pair. Guaranteed to please. Especially delightful if you are over 50! Well worth the time to see. Best if viewed on a huge screen theater instead of one of the cut up multiplexes

it wasnt complicated! it was over rated, sad, slow and not funny. real divorced women dont sleep with their X after a 20yr marriage and the spouse cheats! come on! All of the kids were way too old to be cryin about a divorce after 10 yrs! the writer Nancy heard one story where this actually happen to a woman and ran with it, so it didnt work! Love Merrryl and Alec but should have been funnier!

A great way to forget your cares and spend two hours laughing. So nice to see a romantic comedy featuring grownups, after all, we can be pretty silly too. Excellent cast. My only quibble - unless the characters had independent fortunes, except for Baldwin who played a lawyer, they never could have afforded such fancy houses and cars. Then again, I didn't go to this movie expecting gritty realism - LOL.

We saw this on Christmas Day, and what a great way to celebrate. This movie is funny, but also right on point. No need to imagine, imitates life! Streep is, as always, great, Baldwin and Martin worked off each other flawlessly and John Krazinski (Jim in The Office) was absolutely perfect in the role of Harley! Not sure why it's rated R; took my 16 year old daughter and she loved it as well. This movie will be a classic for me. I highly recommend it!

I took my mother to see It's Complicated as a Christmas present and NEITHER of us were disappointed! The film begins a little slow but the laughter more than makes up for it. We saw this movie Christmas day and it was helarious... I did not know that people in their 50's can still be that sexy. Baldwin and streep did amazing job, they were funny, sexy and natural. The whole movie flows very smoothly with non stop action/lauphs. Baldwin has a much bigger role than martin yet his nam was written last, after Martin... not fair. Go see this movie. I promise.

Great ensemble cast. I went to see it Christmas day and it was a perfect choice. Meryl Streep was, as always, excellent, but Alec Baldwin and Steve Martin were perfect complements to her role. Definitely an adult movie, but not raunchy, just hilarious.

This movie started out a little slow, but by the middle, the theater was rolling with laughter. Very funny and good acting. If you want a good laugh I recommend this movie.

I could never figure out why a movie would open on Christmas day - but I am so glad this one did. It was the funniest movie I've seen in such a long time. All these reviews are right on target but none of them mention the best "supporting actor" in my opinion (and I don't know what constitutes that role) but Harley made my day and you'll see why. You just have to go see this movie. I would bet it's more true to life than most people would care to admit. Meryl is again phenomenal!

What a delightful way to spend Christmas Day. We all laughed until we cried. The movie is supurb and everyone will love it. Great entertainment for anyone 13 and older. Meryl Streep will win an award for this. Great movie.
