I thought all of the actors in the movie did a great job. The story line was believable and realistic. From the looks of the audience people in the age range of 40's to 50's could definitely relate, I know I did.

Oh wow--I wasn't expecting this movie to be this funny, OMG, was I surprised!!! Alec Baldwin, who I just love, was soooooo sexy & cute in this, & so funny too--love him to death!! And Steve Martin, who I've loved forever, was so great in his role, always funny. Meryl Streep needs to stop laughing with her dialog in all her movies, because it gets old. I have to go see this one again, & I will--highly recommended for numerous laughs.

Nancy Meyers again shows why she is one of Hollywood's best. Excellent script carried out to perfection by Meryl Streep and Alec Baldwin. Steve Martin once again plays Steve Martin, (very similar to the movies with Queen Latifah). John Krasinski is very good. Very entertaining.

There are not alot of movies that I would sit through twice; however, this one will be added to my list. I'm in my mid 40s, and I took my mother (mid 60's). We also drug my 52 year old husband out. Although he would not admit he enjoyed the movie, I caught him laughing hysterically several times. John Krasinski, although a supporting actory, steals many of the scenes.

You kind of figure out quickly that most of the gags in this movie you've already seen in the trailer, and the biggest dissapointment is that the edits in the movie are not as funny as the takes that made it into the trailer version. There were definitely a few other laughs and one scene that qualifies as 'laugh hard enough to cry,' but all in all I thought it would be hilarious...not merely funny. The characters were still acessible and it was overall a very sweet movie.

Three 50+ ladies enjoyed the movie and would definitely recommend it to others. I agree with some reviews that said it could have had some additional funny scenes, but overall it captured the scheme it was intended to portray. We laughed out loud many times and it was a completely fun night out.

Fantastic movie! This movie just shows the movie industry that women are not dead at 60. Women still feel romantic at this age and can have a relationship with a man the same age, and that there are plenty of people in this age group that were waiting for a movie again like this. Great job Meryl Streep! John Krasanski was also very funny.

I found the movie not to be as funny as others have stated in their reviews. But, it was an okay movie and I would recomend seeing it. There were some funny parts and some not so funny parts. I feel there was a lot more they could have done with the story line. Also, there was a color oophs in one scene.

This movie looked good in the previews. It was even better than the previews. Great chemistry between Baldwin & Streep. This movie is for the over 40 crowd, but it is one of the best I have seen in many years. The photography was excellent and the premise of the movie made for some very funny but also touching moments. Steve Martin should have been in a more prominent role in the movie than he was, but this movie is worth paying to see twice.

Meryl and Alec both do such a wonderful job. Jane finds herself a middle aged, empty nester and wondering about her own appeal and where life is going for her. The wondering, the "revenge" factor, the doubting of self assurance. This is a must see movie to ward off those middle aged doubts.

Thre are so many parts in this movie that are truly funny. As a "child" of divorced parents it was interesting to see this from the parents' point of view. Meryl Streep is flawless in her performance, I can see why Alec Baldwin's character never fell out of love with her!

Movie was surprisingly poignant and very funny. Surprisingly frank too, and I cringed a little at some of it, as I was watching it with two teen-age girls who thought that some of the "more mature" references were "gross"! This movie could have been pretty inconsequential if it weren't Meryl Streep playing the lead -- she was WONDERFUL and made it hilarious and meaningful at the same time. Alec Baldwin is becoming one of my favorite actors and Steve Martin was as sweet as his "Roxanne" days -- why doesn't he make more movies like this rather than "The Pink Panther"?? This was so funny! The audience was very engaged, laughing (sometimes so loud I couldn't hear the dialog). The movie is funny, pretty realistic, something a 50+ can relate to. We enjoyed it a great deal. Left feeling happy.

Streep and Baldwin were fantastic! I could not stop laughing! Yes, the movie is a bit predictable, but so what! It was done it such a clever way that it didn't matter. The supporting cast, especially the future son in-law, balanced the film perfectly. It is certainly a film most can relate to in some way... I look forward to owning the DVD.
