The movie was sexy, smart, real, and filmed beautifuly. The actors were not a bunch of perfect plastic people. It was a perfect movie to act out "the what if's of life". What if one was married to the love of your life, Great kids, lovely home, interesting jobs, and then it all goes south. Someone is hurt and someone moves on. But, something happens and you have a chance to ge back together, under new rules. You become the romantic interest and the whole relationship has a new lease on life. You become the naughy other woman, who is pursued and wanted? Real ending. Streep and Baldwin were never so charming. See this movie!

This movie had to strike a chord with most of us over 50 baby boomers. Absolutely loved the pot smoking scene. Who knew Meryl Streep could be so funny? And Alec Balwin! If my ex looked like him I'd take him back! Not only was the story cute but I loved the sets. Her house was gorgeous. In fact , I want to be her. It's my new favorite movie.

"It's Complicated" is a sophisticated and intelligent comedy. The direction and acting demostrate the virtue of experience and maturity in the making of a movie.
Meryl Streep is one of the few actors living now who can do both comedy and drama well, while Alec Baldwin and Steve Martin are wonderful comedians. Finally, this is the first movie with John Krasinski in which I've seen signs that he may outgrow the mugging, eye-rolling Jim of The Office. In "It's Complicated," Krasinski was a BIT more real.
Often in comedies, I find that I've seen all the good parts in the trailers. This was not true for "It's Complicated" ....it kept me laughing and engaged throughout.

Merly Streep has no problem with any character hat she wears! Steve Martin seems to flow well in this movie and was a great choice for his part. If Alec Baldwin continues to do as well as he did in this film, I may become a fan of his. This movie was fun-I went with a female friend and now I want to take my husband to see it again. Every character in this movie was perfect. Baldwin was the perfect full-of-himself ex, Streep was delightfully on the fence, Martin is always the funniest, most charming "nerd" alive. It's one of the best comedies I've seen in ages and one I will definitely buy on DVD to watch over and over again!

The best thing about 'It's Complicated' isn't the story. The story is just the vehicle for the situational humor, which is very funny at times. The casting worked well and the acting was great. All in all, a very well done film.

This was the best movie my husband and I have seen in a long time and HE picked it. This in and of itself was extraordinary considering no one was killed, in a high speed car chase or went off to war. First time I have heard the entire theater laugh out loud. This movie was great, watching Meryl Streep act is just amazing, she is so wonderful in this role and Alec Baldwin is really good too. I enjoyed every minute of it. It was funny and touching. Would recommend to anyone!

Lots of prat-fall laughs - tedious hours of Meryl being so amused at everything. Lives alone in a 15M $ house and building an addition - why? The dream kitchen she already has isn't good enough? An emporium-sized bakery,dozens of employees, an Olympic pool, a vegetable garden to feed a village (unseen dozens of undocumented workers taking care of her immaculate hotel-size grounds) and three vacuous children - this gal is one spoiled, mindless idiot. Which she proceeds to prove when she gets smashing drunk and sleeps with her ex and to even out the score, gets smashing stoned and seduces the architect. A slap in the face to all real women.
No, I do not recommend this movie.
