Great way to spend an afternoon with my husband! The movie was genuinely funny, although I wondered whether WE thought it so hilarious because we had both gone through divorce years and years ago............ Loved John Krasinski in his role. Thought Steve Martin did a great job with his role, as well. As for Meryl Streep................... she is always someone I enjoy watching. Alec Baldwin - this is one of the few movies I've seen him in. He was also funny.

A fellow divorced friend and I resorted to seeing this since Sherlock was sold out. I love Meryl Streep and had read positive reviews about this flick so we decided to give it a try. Meryl did not disappoint me!! ALL the actors were on their mark, the story line was complicated but so believable, and we belly-laughed throughout. I don't really care for Alec Baldwin but, in this, he was perfect as her ex-husband. John Krasinski (The Office) was adorable, funny, and could hold his own on the big screen. I think it's most appealing to the middle aged crowd due to the story line. I HIGHLY recommend this movie. It also makes me want to take a cooking class!!

"It's Complicated" was a terrific movie. I saw it with my wife and another couple - all of us of similar ages to the movie's main characters. Takes place in the beautiful hills of Santa Barbara, Calif and portrays a very upscale lifestyle - beautiful homes, cars, clothes and continental travel between New York and California for family graduation ceremonies. Meryl Streep and Alec Baldwin are an absolute hoot and even though we watched every movie trailer we could find before we saw the movie, we still bent over laughing at the hilarious scenes and dialogue. Undoubtedly, it helps to be of similar age to Meryl's and Alec's characters to fully enjoy and comprehend the real life issues they deal with on screen.

I loved this movie, especially the pot smoking scenes! It was funny and the scenery was beautiful. Meryl Streep was excellent as always (she's really getting old tho!) and Alec Baldwin was hysterical. The young man who played the daughter's fiance was fantastic and stole the show. It made me laugh and not many movies do that anymore. And it was original -- not a redo of some old movie. Go see it!

Nice to see a movie on a topic like this without having squirmy moments. It was played broadly, and full of fun. Hats off to Krasinski, whose auctioneer-rapid recap of "what I saw" was a real scene-stealer. Streep was great (she gives all women of a certain age hope), and Baldwin continues to amaze.
Steve Martin seemed a bit flat, but perhaps that was the Director's intent. Lake Bell's altogether too real portrayal of trophy wife worked well in balancing the plot. Great and realistic ending, also.
Highly recommend.

It's great to see actors like Meryl Streep still lighting up the screen with a fun and witty role. Even though I'm not a big Alec Baldwin fan, you can't help but like him in this so stereo-typical male "middle age crazy" role where after he leaves his wife and family, he remembers all that he loved about both. You know...the grass is greener thing or in his case the skin was tighter on the younger chic! And even though it's a bit racey with the pot scene, it was priceless as these middle age fun seekers let loose and consume bake goods like crazy! Loved it.

I will watch almost anything with Meryl Streep and I love Alec Baldwin and Steve Martin. Steve Martin is pretty much wasted in this film. Story is pleasant but predictable. But if you want a pleasant, feel good movie, this one is not bad.

Would definately recomend this movie to couples over 40. The more life experience you have the more you will identify with the characters and situations. Perfect actors for this movie. Laughed our butt off. Was very pleased to NOT hear constant profanity as with most modern movies. This will definately be a DVD we will add to our collection when it comes out. Best movie we have seen in a long time!
