This movie is for the over 13 crowd. I love that it shows teens are interested in the opposite gender, but they promote abstance. It was a little to much for me and a bit corney, but my girls loved it ages 13 to 16. Zac Efron really impressed me. He is growing up.

The movie is quite entertaining; although it does rehash themes from Big and It's a Wonderful Life. The PG-13 rating is dead on the mark for this movie. In addition to the language, there are several scenes in which high school teenagers are inappropriately throwing themselves at the main character. On the plus side, he does act morally during these moments. Unfortunately, there will be plenty of kids wanting to see their favorite star from the G-rated Disney films. If parents do allow their daughters to watch this movie, watch it with them so you are aware of the adult material.

I was told to check out the movie on Kidsinmind.com before taking my 9 year old to see it. I just want to say that all the reported touching and kissing was completely innocent. If you keep in mind that he is her husband from the past, the actions are expected. Also, the whole movie discourages teen sexuality instead of glorifying it. My 13 year loved it and laughed constantly. The movie was great and all the cast was wonderful!

This movie brought back all of those feelings of having a teenage crush . I was 17 again! Zac Efron was really good in this role. I saw the movie with my 11 year old daughter and there were scenes that I wished she hadn't seen . There was definitely the implication that all of the girls were permiscuous and the adults all seemed resigned to it.

I took my 12 year old daughter to see this movie wondering if I was making the right decision since it was rated PG-13. It did spend a considerable amount of time on pressure that HS students deal with about becoming "active". Over all it was ok but probably would not recommend it for the younger kids who just love Zac Efron from HS Musical.

I wasn't expecting too much from this movie, because the story has been done so many times, but it was really good! Zac Efron did a wonderful job, it was like he was a little Mathew Perry. Leslie Mann was delightful as always and Thomas Lennon was hysterical. I laughed alot.

I really didn't expect to like this movie as much as I did. I expected it to be funny and have some "awww" moments but I was happy that the characters actually had depth, the story had a well-rounded and complete plot and I enjoyed it (hey, even my husband liked it). Minus the tens of screaming teens in the theater having melt downs in their seats whenever Zac Efron came on screen, I really liked this movie. I do suggest seeing in with an adult audience during a non-peak time to avoid the drooling 8th graders. ;)

Wow it was really awesome to see Zac JUST ACTING!! No singing and all that stuff ! Soo good. It really shows off that he can get some bigger roles then just musicals! We were not the target audience for this move - obviously. If we were 20 years younger most likely would have given it 4 stars ....and 40 years younger probably would have given it 5. Age does matter. Enough with the math. This theme has been done many times before but Zac Efron does a quality job in the lead. The rest of the cast is excellent as well. In between the shrieks and screams from the female teenage Zac-arites in the audience I caught myself laughing out loud several times and was engaged throughout. See it for sure if you are under 35. For the rest us flip a coin or rent it. Clean fun for anyone over 12 years old.

I thought the movie was excellent. It has a good rating of PG13. There are some parts with cussing, but what kid today in school doesn't hear profanity. It would be a good movie to see for parents - it shows you what your kids are going through in high school (you might be completely oblivious)...things aren't like they were when you were a kid. I would recommend this for anyone above the age of 13/14. The cast did extremely well together. A+!!!!

I thought it was really good. Zack had awesome acting and was insanely hot++! I was laughing constantly and enjoying every bit of it. However.....there were a few parts that were well...very creepy, in the "that's so gross" kinda way. There was a part where there was swearing and stuff, and another of girls offering themselves in very inaproppriate ways. I personally loved it but would not recommend it to anyone under 14

This would be a good for 18 and over, yes I do understand it is PG13. I have seen plenty and taken my kids to PG13 before. This one is over the top with cussing...... I took my kids, both 9 out of the movie. Now if I would have went with one of my older friends it would of been ok.

this movie rox my world! I hated high school musical and i thought this would be the same lame movie that the high school kid is perfect but believe me it is not. The idea may sound stupid but this is a reallt good movie and it teaches us a very good lesson.
