Zac Efron seems to be fine as an actor. He seems to be attractive to those in the theater. Not many men in there. So, when you are transported to a younger age, how do you return? This burning question hasn't been answered fully by the movie "Big" or "13 going on 30. It was, however, fun seeing this treatment. I liked it when he realized he needed to help his kids and get closer to them, rather than "win the big game" I might recommend this movie to my friend’s kids, but my friends are too old to enjoy this picture. Maybe their wives would like it. I went because of Matthew Perry. Sadly, he wasn't in it as much as I'd have liked. It was ok, though, because I just imagined that Matthew Perry was supposed to be Zac Efron the whole time.

My 13 year old daughter thought this was a great movie, and so did I. She related to the embarrassment of the teenagers at their lame parents. I related to what the lame parents were saying and doing! It was a lot of fun!!

I thought the movie would be good, given the plot line, but I did not expect the acting quality of Zac Efron to be very good. You know, teenage hype and all that. He really surprised me. He may actually have an acting career beyond Disney.
A feel-good movie, targeted mostly at pre-teen, and teenage girls. Upholds morals we all hope our kids will have, but portrays the 'average' teenager as the hormone-crazy stereotype. Definitely worth seeing.

The movie was much raunchier than I expected. It's a disaster for younger kids. A sample of dicey topics: condoms, douches, b****rds, p*n*s size and teen pregnancy. Lots more swearing than you would think. Zac Ephron tries to romance his friend's mother. The audience and Zac Ephron know they're married but the woman doesn't know that, and kids of 8 or 9 will think its painfully uncomfortable in any event. It's also uncomfortable when Zac Ephron's teenage daughter denies her boyfriend, only to aggressively seduce Zac Ephron in short order. Later an adult man repeated slaps Zac Ephon in the face, apologizing each time; it's mean and vicious, totally out of place. Bottom line: this movie is NOT for kids, so they shouldn't see it.

I attended this with my 12-yr old and a friend and my 16-yr old and a friend. We all enjoyed it immensely. My older daughter thought it was good that he didn't go after the hot High School girls when he was "17 again" even though he could have. I wish every man could experience something that would make him think and see the grass isn't greener elsewhere.

We tried to get our teenage son to see this movie with his family, but he refused. Too much of a chic flick he said. After seeing it, I know he would have enjoyed it. It was both funny and had a meesage for both boys and girls. Yes, Zach does dance a little bit, and show off some pretty amazing basketball skills, but it was not what the movie was about. I would recommend seeing it for a good time if your preteen or teen is mature enough.

I wanted to see this movie because it was billed as a comedy and wanted something to make me REALLY laugh. This movie had some comedic parts, but overall it was a deep drama about regrets. Also, I did not think it was appropriate for children (there were many in the theater) to see high school pregnancy shoved in their face. At one time in the movie, he does talk about "love making" happening between two consenting adults. Then, it shows the girls as desperate (lines in the movie by three girls talked about not respecting them or remembering their names) is not the message that kids should see. This movie should have been rated PG-17, not PG-13 – not for kids.

I was pretty impressed considering the story line. Seen it repeated a few times but none the less, I thought it was cute. I thought the charaters all had great chemistry with one another and was impressed by Zac Efron's performance. He has great comedic timing and his emotional scene (s) were very good. I think he held up pretty well with the more senior actors. I'll be purchasing the DVD for sure.

17 again was one of the best movies I have seen in a while. OF COURSE part of that was Zac Efron! But also the whole story-line and theme was great too. I didnt think any part of this movie was innaproppriate for anyone 12 or up. Again this was an AMAZING movie and I would definitely see it again!!!!

Yeah, Zac is completely adorable in this, but what else is news. I thought the story line was enjoyable and the secondary leads did a fine job as well. This show is a bit of a retread, but I liked it all the same, especially for challenging some stereotypes. There's one tho about whether he might be heterosexual or not that I think should have been handled in a way that'd spoken to that age group more about acceptance and tolerance.

I took my son since he wanted to see this movie and soon realized that I spent forty dollars and two hours of my time that I will never see again. The movie was so-so but the fact that this movie has been made so many times over made it quite predictable and boring. From a parents perspective there are a few scenes where the star of the film tries to put out a message about self-respect to teenage girls. The problem is that it is like trying to do abstinence commercial in the middle of an adult because the message is lost with all the other questionable type references.

As a parent of a 13 year old, I felt that the theme of portraying a High School pregnancy as a good thing was a very poor choice. My husband and I had to debrief our children after the show explaining how many of those scenes really showed poor choices in life. I felt it sent the wrong message to teenagers.
As an adult, I thougth the humor was excellent.

I took my 9-year old nieces to see this movie. They love Zac Efron and I now think he's a hottie as well! This was exactly as I stated above, "the male Freaky Friday." The PG-13 rating is good because this movie has a few references to sexuality. Parents be pre-warned, there is a scene with the mentioning of condoms. There is some cursing, but not much and not that bad. I would recommend this movie.

I took my eleven year old daughter to see this moving. We both laughed several times throughout the movie. I was very proud of the directors & writers when messages came across about girls respecting themselves, and the approach of obstaining until you know 100% that the individual is your true love. Not just a fling. I also enjoyed the movie because it touched on subjects that are not always cool. You know being friends with the nerds.

thlis was one of the best movies I have seen. It is great for teens and for adults. Zac Efron is a wonderful actor, and Thomas Lennon was hilarious! The son and daughter rolls were also good. An extremely entertaining movie. I will definitely buy the DVD when it comes out. Don't miss this movie!
