I was looking forward to watching this movie but in the first 30 minutes was but then it got boring the worst part is the end this is so not worth watching I WANT 1HR 44MIN OF MY LIFE BACK.

Pretty boring upfront. If you can handle that, then there's some pretty decent acting through it all. This is a mystery movie to the core and you never quite know what the heck is going on. Even the end will make you question who's side you took during the progression of the movie. Not for your average movie-goer, though, as it gets downright dull at some points, unless you can see more than meets the eye..

Good performances. Streep and Hofman are so much fun to watch working together. Good themes: abuse by priests, the importance of doubt. However, it was a very "playlike" movie. Some of the script seemed to be untied to the movie and may have been a survivor from the original play.

This is not a super-exciting movie, however, it's worth seeing due to the performances of the top 3 main characters/actors. I honestly thought that Amy Adams OUTDID Meryl Streep. Amy really was perfectly cast in that role, & she did the job brilliantly. Philip Seymour Hoffman was his usual superb self, he was excellent. Meryl Streep was OK, but I guess I'm used to seeing her in much meatier roles--there just wasn't much here for her to do really.

After seeing ‘Doubt’, I had a strong desire to comment on the points made by the story. However, I realized that doing so in my review might cause someone to have preconceptions that could diminish their enjoyment of the movie. Therefore, suffice it to say that it is a very thought provoking, many faceted story, and that the acting by Hoffman, Streep, and Davis could not have been better. Well worth seeing.

Meryl Streep never disappoints me. I found her performance to be very powerful and intense. They don't make them like Meryl. Philip Seymour Hoffman is incredible. Very good movie!!!!!!!
