Crazy, silly, fun. Great kid movie. My 7 and 8 year old boys loved it. Alvin, Simon, and Theodore have some competition from the girls. It's a good story about friends, friendship, and family. Even the "bad" guys turn out okay with one exception, but he gets his in the end!

I could have waited for the video on this and skipped the movie. It was ok mind you, just not great. My kids liked it (ages 9, 9 and 7). My oldest son liked the football part. My younger son thought the first one was better. My 5 year old neice loved it. Nothing wrong with it, just kind of boring for adults.

The proof is in the pudding, as the saying goes! I took my grandchildren to see this and they loved it!!! In fact, they immediately wanted to see it again. Although this film had a good message about "the importance of family", it was purely made for children (of all ages) to be entertained.
I haven't seen a purely entertaining children's film (which I enjoyed immensely) like this in some time.

I am not a Chipmunk fan. Not even when I was a kid. But, now that I have little ones I am forced to watch all the kid movies, (even when I feel like my I.Q. will drop 20 points just by watching). All in all, it was enjoyable. The kids loved it and I didn't fall asleep.

Someone commented that the Chipettes only sang 2 songs; It's Alvin and the Chipmunks, not the Chipettes.Great movie would have like to see a different villian or obstacle in their way.

Life lessons taught in the Disney manner and made thoroughly enjoyable if you were a Chipmunk fan fifty five years ago. I did not see the previous movie but I recognize the Alvin trade mark gestures and attitude in another grandchild's behavior over Thanksgiving. Take a child to see this and you will be amply rewarded.
