Iron Man 2 was more action-packed than the first. Don Cheatle did a great job and Scarlett Johansson was amazing. Great use of technology and special effects. This was an excellent movie and the entire family loved it.
Great role for Micky Rourke. Really terrific casting and on-screen chemistry among the leading actors.

I was disappointed in this sequel. The characters that were so enjoyable in the first movie were not as interesting or heroic this time. There was no hero to root for. There were only stupid anti-heroes and weasels in this movie. The back story of the Russian scientist was unintelligible, the side story of SHIELD was not developed or explained, I don't understand how the EXPO model became a new element, and other than her 20 second kung-fu fight, Scarlett Johansson was wasted in the movie. Iron Man didn't even get in costume until the movie was half over. I saw pieces of a good story line, but the whole was much less than its parts. And that's too bad.

I knew what I expected going in and got exactly that. Iron Man 2 had me smiling. The plot ties in well with the first movie. It was also great to see Mickey Rourke on the big screen yet again. Great pace and funny to boot!

I liked it better than the first one! Loved all the neon lighting and excentric personalities. Howard Stark clips SOOO reminded me of Walt Disney! I don't have the benefit of having a Marvel Comics background so I missed a lot of the depth of the film, but loved it anyway. These movies aren't about reality, so I turned off that filter everytime it told me- the impact alone would have these guys incapacitated!! etc. Just a fun, fun flick!

What a cast, what a sequel.....just make sure that you don't leave the theatre (like 95% of my theatre did!) until AFTER ALL the credits have rolled by!!

Too much idle banter, too many one line zingers, not cohesive -- seemed like filler sentences and phrases. I prefer films with meaningful dialogue that flows. I liked it for the special effects and the actors.

This sequel had to be over the top to keep up with IRON MAN 1 and it is up to the task. Both the returning cast and the all-star new cast members are like hand-in-glove and of course all the special effects are top rate. Mickey Rourke is the perfect arch-villain in his role. The perfect follow up summer action-thriller !
