It was far too long. Was the overly loud soundtrack actually on the film or was it the theater's choice of volume??? Way too loud - so loud that even my 16 year old grandson complained about the volume. Now that is LOUD.

Enough with the product placement already! Between Audi, Oracle, and Starbucks, enough! Maybe that is why it was over 2 hours long - to get all that marketing in the movie. Oh yeha - the movie was decent but the ending was anti climatic and was predictable. Could have been much better.

I took 2 8yr olds to see this. We loved the first one, loved the second one even better! Seemed a bit slow at the beginning, but once it got going, lots of action. The robot fight scenes were really cool. Kids loved it. There were a couple of things said, that thankfully went over their heads, and every time a cuss word was said, my son looked at me, and that was quite a few times. Other then that, overall, loved it!

I had so much fun just watching this movie. It has just as much great banter and humor as the first with a LOT more character development, some real consequences and danger, and another glimpse into the brillant mind of Tony Stark. I was disappointed that the part of Col Rhodes was played by a different actor than in the first, but who can complain about Don Cheadle? He's just brilliant. Sure there's some advancing of the Avengers tease, but they started that as a tag at the end of the first Iron Man, so I don't have a problem with it. I just hope they also have an Iron Man 3 in the works. ;) Can't wait to see where they might go next. BRAVO FAVS!!!

In some ways I liked this one better than the first one. Instead of just action and explosions this one added some plot and character development.
Scarlett Johanssen is a definite plus and easy on the eyes, but my one major criticism is that Gwyneth Paltrow is wasted in this version. Downey is seriously over the top steeped in the arrogance that is Tony Stark. Don Cheadle is a great straight arrow and Mickey Rourke does mad genius really well.

This movie just barely misses being a full-fledged bomb due to Robert Downey Jr. and especially Mickey Rourke's performances. Talky, predictable, dare I say only "average" effects work by ILM? This time, 22 year old, 5'5", 115 lb Scarlet Johansson dons the laughably cliched (at this point) black catsuit and (surprise!) single-handedly leaves 20 hulking trained and armed guards in her wake... all while striking equally cliched "sexy" action poses. Sam Jackson seem out of place in his role, just like Star Wars. He needs to stick with serious acting roles, these silly comic book roles are hurting his mojo. There are too many extraneous characters and story lines, the suspense never builds (you never feel like Tony Stark's life is ever really in jeopardy), the film feels longer than it is (never good) - which means it has its share of boring spots, and the final battle is underwhelming and anticlimactic. - Sad as this villain had real potential, like Doc Octopus in Spiderman II. Really, Iron Man II is a mess but Rourke and Robert Downey Jr.'s performances "save Iron Man" more than any new power source for his high-tech heart.

Thought it took most of the movie to really get a story going. Plenty of things get blown up but I think it would have been much more interesting if Iron Man had been on an actual mission. Most sequels aren't as good as the original and I think that is where this one falls.

Contrary to several critic's reviews that I read online, I thought Iron Man 2 was was just as good as the first movie. The acting was very good, with Downey adding a bit more depth to the Stark charactor. Mickey Rorke was surprisingly good as well. The plot line is a bit of a cary over from the first movie, with a new thread that will eventually lead to Iron Man joining the Avengers.

I liked this movie better than the first Iron Man, but it still seemed a little long to me. Although I understand the rating, there were a lot of small children at the showing and much of the sexual humor was inappropriate for the 5-9 age group. Iron Man 2 picks up right where the original leaves us. This movie was much more fast paced than the orginial in my eyes, which is usual because the original was giving more of a brackground and setting everything up. This movie adds new cast and characters that help this movie a lot. I really enjoyed the action, drama, and even a little love story in it's own way. The special effects are great as well. If you are debeting on going to see this movie or not my advice would be do not hesitate you will enjoy it.

I went to see this with my husband and teenage son. It's rare that we all like a movie since our tastes are so different, but this was one of the few exceptions. It was fast-paced, witty, and action-packed. Robert Downey Jr. was awesome, as always and the ensemble cast was well chosen. We also loved the first movie and were pleasantly surprised to find the sequel just as good. Highly recommended.

This was an excellent sequel and built the character into an even stronger figure and should I think be able to ride into a third and fourth film. It also brought in War Machine and Black Widow and those characters could see films of their own. I am very happy with the movie but my theatre had sound problems during the final scene after the credits and I did not hear what was said this I found very disappointing and felt ripped off.

I really enjoyed the action and suspense. Mickey Rourke made a great villain. Did not like the character who heads Hammer industries. Special effects were great. Robert Downey Jr is terrrific as always! Can't wait fo rnumber 3.

Iron Man 2 is as good as the first. It has a great combination of comedy and action. I would recommend this movie to anyone!

In a nutshell the movie is very well written. If you can get past the fact that Don Cheadle replaced Terrence Howard as Rohdey then you've gotten over the hard part.
Mickey Rorke makes a great villain and delivers a very cool and believable portrayal of Ivan Vanko.
The writers crammed a lot of information into a short time span, but they made it flow very well. With the introduction of Nick Fury and a better dip into S.H.E.I.L.D. that wets your appetite for a sequel or even possible off-shoot movies.
The CGI was well executed and not over used and the battle scenes and camera angles were very good. It didn't have that chopped up feel that some other movies get when there is a lot of computerized motion.
I recommend this to any Iron Man or Marvel Comics fan as well as anyone that just wants a good action flick to see.

loved it... and would so reccomend it to everyone! As a matter of fact, I have! My son that is 3 years old loved it as well :) I give this movie a 5 star, but for some reason its not letting me choose 5 star
