This movie was Awesome! Scarlett Johansen kicks major A! Not at all what I expected, but the whole movie was great. More big names. Colonel Rhodes is much better played by Don Cheadel. This one was more family friendly for the little kids. I loved it. I just watched my dvd of the first one last night again and after seeing I.M.2 it was even better. A+!

There are some ridiculously cool scenes in the movie like the end battle, but the middle really drags. Pepper is also really annoying in this movie. The visuals and Micke/y Rourke are worth the price of admission. No surprise here, but Mickey Rourke makes for one heckuva bad guy.

Was afraid when I went to see that it would be all action and little on drama and story. The film had me interested throughout. The action was fun and the story lines were compelling. The acting excellent. For me and my wife it was a lot of fun although my wife said that the first was slightly better for her because of its novelty.

My husband and I rarely get out to the movies because we have two small children. So, we decided to escape one afternoon and see Ironman 2. We had seen Ironman 1 and loved it. I was pleasantly surprised at how great the action and story line was. We had read the "not so good" reviews but love Robert Downey, Jr. and decided to give it a shot...and so glad we did! Excellent all the way around. We did notice a few children in the theater. We're pretty strict with our kids and what they can watch. The movie is rated PG-13. Our 4 year old LOVES super heros, especially Iron Man. However, this movie we felt was inappropriate for him. Alot of violence and shooting. Aside from the that, the movie frames moved very quickly and it might be too much for him to watch.

Very loud and if you like over-the-top special effects than you'll like this movie. Many corny jokes and silly dialogue mixed with some laugh-out-loud lines. Though not animated, the unbelivable effects allow super hero capabilities which constnantly remind us that we're watching a comic book story. Interesting and fun with some great eye-candy. Not a must see - but a fun way to pass 2 hours.

It's hard to say if this movie is better than the first,not that I am comparing. Iron Man 2 stands on it's own as some great escapism. The interaction between Pepper and Tony is still what makes this movie go around. They have a good chemistry and it shows in both films. Lots of action. Jon Favreau does another great job as director! The addition of Scarlett Johnsson is great eye candy, but I also think she does a good job in her role. Mickey Rourke plays a great villain. Samuel Jackson unfortunately does not add a lot. I like him, but he still needs another GOOD role. Sam Rockwell is good and Don Cheadle as the Colonel has a beefier role this time. All the way around a good weekend escape and great action movie.

Robert Downey Jr. is at his best as Tony Stark. Scarlett Johansson is more than just eye candy. She's a strong willed kick ass machine. Don Cheadle makes an excellent War Machine. Movie was great. I enjoyed it with wife and grandchildren. The villian was spectacular his whips of desctruction were breathtaking. The first part of the movie was by and large disconnected and farcical, with some great scenes, ie. the senate hearings (reminiscent of Howard Hughs testimony in the 40's) They could have done a better casting job than Mickey Rourke (who I can't stand to watch since his botched plastic surgery.....he looks horrible), ie. Ivan Drago-Rocky IV. There seemed to be a lot of parallels in the first part of the movie to Downey's own life as in life imitates art imitates life, etc. The second half of the movie rocked with excellent storyline development and incredible action and graphics and made it worth the viewing. Overall I'd rate it a 3/5 stars. I must give a disclaimer here, in that I don't read the comics!!!

I'm writing this review from my 10 year old son. He loved it, and said he was even scared in some parts (esp. when he didn't know if Tony would be "cured"). He enjoyed the action and the story.
From me - his 40 yr. old mom - I'd say it was a tad long, and not as "action packed" as the first one - the first one just hits you in the guts in the first 30 min. I liked the story-line of this one, about his dad/childhood, and the "romance" and a little intrigue. And, going to see it with the family, and knowing my son enjoyed it, makes it worth 5 stars!

ON TO THE MOVIE IT WENT FROM CONGRESS HEARINGS TO HIM FIGHT ALL THESE CYBORGS. HE HAS A BUDDY THIS NAMED WAR MACHINE. IRON MAN AND WAR MACHINE MAKE A GREAT COMBO OFFENSIVE.
SOME PEOPLE COMPLAINED AT THE MOVIE THAT THE IT WAS TOO....LOUD!! YOU KNOW WHAT? THESE PEOPLE COULD JUST STAY HOME AND WAIT TILL THE DVD COMES OUT. IF YOU CANT STAND A MOVIE THAT LOUD THEN DONT SHOW UP AND BRING SOME EAR PLUGS SO YOU CAN MUTE THE MOVIE. THESE PEOPLE ARE RIDICULOUS!!! GOOO....HOME!!!
GREAT MOVIE FOR ALL COMIC FANS OF ALL AGES!!! SEE IT IN IMAX IF YOU CAN!! ITS WORTH EVERY FREAKIN PENNY.

Since I NEVER compare sequels to the first movie I think it was a excellent movie. The first movie is always is new and exciting, but in the sequel you get more into character development and introductions to other characters. That is exactly what this movie did with as much humor and excitement as the first. Great for a sequel. I was in Australia when it was released there, 8 days earlier than the US release, of course I went on opening night. I loved it so much I've seen it twice more since I came back to the states. Robert did it again, he stole the show and made the movie awesome!
