I enjoyed watching this movie as much as the first Iron Man for these reasons: the same director and cast members (minus one), plus some interesting additions; the relationships between Tony Stark and the main people in his life; and a nice continuation of the original story. The action and fight scenes were also great. I don't like that Rhodey was played by someone new, and some of the action scenes were a bit difficult to follow (of course, I was sitting on the front row so my head was often moving left to right). I'm glad there was another short scene after the end credits (like in IM1), which has me looking forward to the next installment as well as the coming Marvel pictures!

If you liked the first one, you will definitely like the second one. The villain's character is awesome. My only complaint is that Samuel Jackson's role in the movie brings a level of cheesiness to the whole thing that really kills the mood. Not to mention that his character and side plot doesn't contribute to the story in any way and even distracts from it. Other than that, this movie is fantastic.

My wife an I LOVED the first Iron Man, but were both disappointed in this one. We couldn't believe how badly the movie dragged for the first hour and a half, and then it finally go going in the last 30 minutes with action and effects similar to the entire first Iron Man. I found Iron Man 2 to be highly entertaining. In fact, I enjoyed it even more than Iron Man. The casting was terrific and the special effects were on point! Good story line and definitely room for sequels and spin offs.
