If you're going to see this movie with your teenager it's not too bad. It's got mild humor, a good story line and just a few curse words here and there. BUT...Don't expect John C. Reilly to be as funny as he was in Step Brothers and Talladega Nights.

I was particularly suprised with this movie. I went because my kid sister wanted to see it. I didn't think that I would like it at all but I did. John C. Rielly really suprised me the most because I'm so use to him playing parts that are kind of ridiculously stupid. But he did an excellent job in his role on this movie.

Not too predictable (I haven't read the books), not overstated, good action and dialogue, altogether very entertaining for adults who may have to sit through another vampire movie with their teenager. Reilly is very good as the weary vampire who's seen it all, and a couple of cameos by Willem DeFoe (an always entertaining presence) are enjoyable.

I took my 16 yr old daughter and we both loved it. If you like watching True Blood or reading any of the Twilight books you will want to see this movie. It is worth the money. I Cant wait unit it comes out on DVD. I hope they make a sequal.

A little more juvenile than I expected, this movie is a good time. Somewhat predictible but, while the title character is 15-17, there is a lot more plot that seems centered around the 13-15 demographic (but, thankfully, no bathroom humor). Riley as the vampire gives a good, slightly understated, performance of a world-weary traveler.

I found this movie to be fast paced, fun, very entertaining and worth the ticket. I really enjoyed it and would be willing to see it again.
Some complained that this movie wasn't like the book. I have not read the book(s), didn't know this was even based on a book and don't care. No movie can ever do a book total justice since movies are limited to 1.5 or 2 hours....doesn't matter, I enjoyed it!

I thought the movie was OK. The movie its self was a bit jumpy from past to present. It was rushed though the 4 books which this movie was based on, they could have added 10 min. to the movie to draw it out. It's ending was flat, like it’s there to let you know theirs going to be a second movie. Being a fan of the book(s) (spoiler) I did gasp & get emotional when Steve was bitten & with all the fighting. I didn't think I was going to be able to get around the humor that was showed in the trailers but it was OK. Over all I would buy this movie to go with my books but I don't think I would watching it often.

There was enough of a plot to keep me interested during the midnight showing but at times the script was flat. It wasn't a bad movie, however I left the theater wondering what the point of the movie was. It leaves room for a sequel but I'm not sure the interest will be great enough for another to be made. I had not realized there were books this was based off of so i will be reading those to try and understand more of what the story is about.

i just read the premis and it is tottally a.s.s-backward from the book. The movie's perspective of vampires is looking completely away from the message Darren was trying to say in his book. If you read the book and understand it you will probably think the same thing as I do. I dont really have anything against the movie it's just theres some major gaps between the novel and film.
