This film is not a hardcore comedy but a very very endearing and cute romantic comedy of sorts. I fell in love with these characters quickly and the script was extremely original. My friend and i were shocked at how great this film was... it just makes us single people happy!

This movie was o.k. It started out o.k, but then I found myself falling asleep. I liked the couples relationship. To me the story line was weak, it was cute, but I wouldn't see it again. I didn't think the use of foul language was necessary, they seemed to be cursing just to curse. I don't know any people who talk to each other like this couple as far as their intimate life and parts of the female anatomy go. I didn't like the way Allison Janney's character related to her kids, I thought it was insensitive the way she talked behind their backs, I thought she was obnoxious. I would not go see this movie again, due to its boring topic and weak plot. the ending was nice.

Away We Go is the best movie of the summer so far. It was poignant and funny. The characters in the movie are endearing. I think many people will relate to the characters portrayed throughout the movie. They will recognize people in their own lives in the main characters as well as the characters they come in contact with. It definitely demonstrates today's difficulties in wanting what's best for your children when you don't have extended family to help. I could watch this movie over and over!

I almost missed this little gem, but I'm so glad I caught it last night. Parts are laugh-out-loud funny; others are tender and heartfelt. John and Maya are well cast as are their quirky friends and relatives. Nice date movie. Most of our audience was 30+. Everyone seemed to enjoy it and walked away smiling, including me.

It almost seems like this movie should be a companion piece to Juno. Same themes, except now those quirky teens have matured into quirky young adults and can't just give it away this time. The Date movie of the summer. The hardest thing to do in a relationship movie is the represent men and women equally and fairly. With a Romantic comedy this task is made harder by the need to get some laughs out of the foibles of either or both. Sam Mendes's new Indie offering makes us see and believe, laugh at and care for the women and the men who are portrated by a great set of actors. There are so many moments of recognition and broad comedy packed into this 90 minute movie that I never got bored. The ending rigns a little contrived but until then it was a completely believable and fun movie. This is the date movie of the simmer.

I enjoyed this movie overall, It was poignant, funny and endearing; however, I take issue with the city of Tucson having never been mentioned, other than through the big "Away to Tucson" signage on the screen. The last we heard, Verona's sister lived in Phoenix, not Tucson. Then, all of a sudden, a trip is being taken down south. Did I miss something? Did anyone else think about this? I assume most people know these two cities are separated by over 100 miles. The only explanation I can imagine is that Starr Pass-Tucson kicked in some advertising bucks for the film to be completed. However, I would think there would have been several resorts in Phx. willing to do the same. Times are tough all over this state!

I expected more from this film, given the credits of the director, sam mendes. but, this is no "american beauty". it's a nice idea: a couple of 30 somethings, about to be parents, go on a road trip to determine where they should settle and raise their kid. their journey to visit family and friends is mostly a boring trip through over-played stereotypes. there are a few touching moments, and some outright funny bits, but the movie really drags.
your $10 would be better spent on another movie.

I generally love this kind of movie and I am a big fan of Maya Rudolph (from SNL) and John Krasinski (from The Office), but this movie goes nowhere and does nothing. The only good thing is the great chemistry between these two actors. I fell asleep because i was so bored with this movie. In my theatre, people were leaving before the credits rolled. The music is working overtime to try to make you feel emotions that the script is too weak to elicit. Probably would not have been so harsh if i had downloaded this instantly for free on Netflix, but for $10-Definitely not worth it.

A change of pace in the middle of the summer testosterone-packed movie season. Original, funny, thought-provoking, well acted & directed character-ensemble piece that will have you entranced throughout. Great supporting cast with Krasinski & Rudolph spot-on perfect as the lead characters. Both should be looking forward to long, eclectic movie careers.
