I was very pleased with this movie. I took my 8 five-year-old Daisy Girl Scouts,and they LOVED it. It makes me feel good how far we've come as a country that finally, now, little white girls are admiring/asking for a black barbie/princess doll. I think it's about time the African American women are represented in the Disney princess lineup, and I loved how she "became" a princess (being as we don't have American royalty.) And hooray for our first American princess character! I totally suggest this movie to everyone. Loved the music, loved the New Orleans culture, loved the female singer...simply loved it all.

I have nothing but wonderful things to say about The Princess & the Frog!!! I took my 2 year old daughter to see this movie & she loved it !!! I was so glad that this was her 1st movie to see in a theater b/c it was based in New Orleans!!! We are from around the New Orleans area , so it was wonderful to see how well the city was portrayed!!! From the bayou to the St. Louis Cathedral, it was a great movie & it was such a heart warming story !!! Loved loved loved it !! We cant wait to purchase it once it is avaliable on DVD!!!

I'm not sure what the reviewer who said "not for small children" is referring to. I took my 4 year old daughter and she loved it, (if you try to take a child younger than 4 to a movie aren't you really just kidding yourself?)
This movie was awesome, it highlights the importance of hard work as well as the need for us to depend on others.
As for the comment about the single parents in Disney movies: Guess what, HALF of the kids in the U.S. don't have married parents. Do we need to alienate them at the movies too. 2 of the 3 sets of parents in the movie were together.

When I ask my 4 year old what she thought of the movie, she says, "GREAT!" When I asked her what she thought of the shadows and voodoo, she said, "it was very scary." We loved the movie but she definitly snuggled up to me when all the voodoo stuff was on. Overall I think it's a great movie. Great music, fun characters, and good story line!

I took my children to see this movie and we were all very disappointed. The movie focused on evil from the very beginning, incorporating voodoo practices along with many other false beliefs. We finally chose to leave because it just got scarier as it went along. I would NOT recommend this movie at all!

Thank you, Disney for showing the world the New Orleans that we all love. The Mardi Gras floats looked exactly the way they do traveling down St. Charles Ave. The streetcars and the streetcar bells were so real. Love the story, LOVE the music, the setting everything was just perfect! My 10 year old son was only 1 of 2 boys in the packed theatre but that was OK...it is perfectly balanced for boys and girls and people of ALL ages! Can't wait until it comes out on DVD!

This was an all-around great film - wonderful characters, a strong princess, excellent music, and magic. The classic animation captured the magic of the movie that computer graphics could not have done. This was a fairy tale with a strong message set in a real city. Fantastic.
