My family loved this movie. It was paced fast enough to hold my small child's attention and not too simple for my older child. Music was awesome, characters enduring, and classic styled animation was a nice break from all the computer animated stuff done today. This will be a classic!

It's a nice movie, but the violence parts are too violent for kids under 8. I wouldn't recommend it for younger kids. It was too scary in some parts and it would have been better if there was less of the shadow man parts.

I took my granddaughters, age 6 and 4. The 6 yr. old stayed right with the movie, and the 4 yr. old was way less wiggly than usual. My granddaughters are part Hispanic and Native American, and it was so great to see smart and lovely warm-skinned, dark-brown-eyed women on the screen! Also wonderful was the relationship between the two young women seperated by class and race. The hard work ethic and excellent family relationships makes "Princess and the Frog" a great story even without the terrific musical score. The animation in the swamp scenes is often spectacular. The Shadow Man and voodoo elements are excellent ways to explore spirituality within a child-accessible context. Also,I appreciated the fewer-than usual modern references.

I very rarely give any movie such high ratings. The film was of extremely high quality. I found the story very enchanting, well made and uplifting. Excellent for both children and adults of all ages. This has become one of my favorites in the animation arena, because of the warmhearted story, the location of New Orleans and because of my love of jazz music too.

I took two girls age 10. We all thought the movie seemed long - many younger kids going to the bathroom during the film- and thought that the animation during the voodoo scenes would seem very scary for younger kids. Both girls enjoyed the movie and it's old school style of animation. I thought it lacked the witty humor and quicker pace of the newer Disney films. The movie was well done but I won't be adding this film to my home collection.

I took my 3 yr old & 5 year old granddaughters to see this movie. They thoroughly enjoyed the movie evidenced by their laughter and identifying to me what was happening at various times throughout the movie as we viewed the movie. My 3 yr old got a little tired during the last 35 min and started asking to go to the restroom. The storyline was great for them. They were excitedly discussing the movie to their Mom and recapping events of the movie with each other. I was pleased that they enjoyed this movie. I believe it is age appropriate and family oriented. The shadow man's antics can be explained to young minds a lot easier than the violence of the 6:00 news

I was a little skeptical about the movie after hearing some reviews with concerns about voodoo, etc. However, it was definitely fantasy and kids will accept it as such if it is explained properly. My 6-year-old daughter and I enjoyed it. Her eyes were glued to the screen and she did a very good job telling the rest of the family about the plot when we got home. Great example of good vs. evil, but an even better example of work hard to get what you want. Disney did not disappoint us!

Overall very good movie. A little dark at times with the "Voodoo Hoodoo" some children under 6 may not understand it. I'm from southern LA "cajun country" and the accents were captured to a T. New Orleans and the swamp were so real one could feel as if they were there. The morals were put "out there" for the viewers to hear and understand. The movie does not slow down at any point. My 8 year old loved it and thought it was "really sweet". Yes, we did wipe our eyes. ENJOY!

This movie is great for the family and a beautiful addition to the disney classics. Great songs, rich culture and memorble characters. Couldn't ask for more. Simply put, I loved it. =D

Absolutely wonderful movie!!!!! I cried and laughed all at the same time. Excellent cure for the winter blahs. Great night out for the family. My teenage daughter and niece loved it.
