i LOVED this movie-so did my 4 year old son-this is a must for anyone from Louisiana as the movie is 'filmed' in new orleans-we see anything animated that comes out as my son loves to go to the movies and this is one of the best movies i have seen this year (also really enjoyed the fantastic fox movie)

Although I had to reassure my 6 year old nephew that this was not a "girl movie" and he protesed the idea at first, in the end he really enjoyed the movie and was glad he came. While I was a little taken aback by the strong voodoo presence, I too understood it was true to the history of New Orleans. Overall I enjoyed the movie and will add it to my Disney collection.

About time Disney!! We need more princess stories like these!! TIana was a hit! I loved everything about this movie, except the voodoo of course! But that was expected, being that it was based out of the N.O.. All the girls I took to see the movie enjoyed it and even yelled, WE ARE PRINCESSES!!! ( little black girls) Ammmmmmazing Job! Oh and I highly recommending many go see this film. Last night my daughter asked me if we could to walmart and purchase the DVD. Cant wait !

I am so proud of Disney. The movie was fantastic, the characters were loveable, and I can't tell you what it meant to me to see a multicultural cast at last. Children and adults will enjoy it. In fact, I went with a group of adults and we were just as captivated as the children in the theatre. This movie is a MUST SEE!!!

I personally love frogs, but the frog part was a little long for my almost 3 year old daughter who is REALLY into Disney princesses. She would have liked to see more of Tiana the human. I loved the music and plan on purchasing the soundtrack. The dark parts were not too scary for her - which is good. It is a great movie.

This movie is now my favorite Disney animated film of all time mainly because the heroine was smart, ambitious and loving. Little girls across the world should be able to identify with and emulate this beautiful character. Moreover, the supporting cast were delightful and the score and songs were awesome. Disney hit a home run with this movie. It was nice to see them harken back to the Classics during a time when everything is CGI. There are some touching moments and classic scenes throughout. Great job Disney!! The only thing to be aware of are some rather scary images for young children..All in all, it was the best Disney movie in years.

I went in expecting an 'ok' Disney flick because frankly, that's all they've been for some time, but I was wowed by this film. The animation was great, the story line was interesting and it kept both my and my daughter's attention throughout the movie. My daughter is 7 btw and will not hesitate to say, "I don't like this movie". What I loved even more was that it was a little more modern than the other princess movies and it took place in New Orleans. This was a cute movie. I'd definitely recommend.

Great movie~ I sat there in a over crowed theater majority kids of course - and they were so into the movie, the storyline is simple for the younger kids to appreciate , the songs & music were balanced nicely throughout the movie.. it was very funny, the characters all came to life.. This is a very good movie. My husband and I took our 9 and 4 year old girls and we loved the characters, the music and the story.We were aware that voodoo would be in the movie because of the available information out there, but were not sure how it would be portrayed. The kids behind me (all around me!) did not freak out, but if you have a very sensitive little one be prepared to cover eyes or maybe wait for the DVD. For my 4 year old, the shadows were unexpected, but no more frightening than the witch in Snow White, the dragon in Sleeping Beauty, Jafar in Alladin, etc. Disney always has that super creepy bad character. Overall, EXCELLENT!!

This is a good movie. I wasn't too excited about the voodoo theme, however, that was keeping it true to the New Orleans roots. I do like the fact that Disney showed that Voodoo (evil) will not prevail.
I would have like to see more of Tiana as a princess.

I don't generally like animation but my kid wanted to go. I enjoyed it more than he did! Growing up in chicago I heard of people like the guy that made deals with the demons and living in Louiisana now I have a greater appreciation of the Culture Captured so excellent in this film! The film is a the NEW direction of the Country, despite our differences and problems. The audience was equally mixed and I have been on Twitter singing the praises of this movie with others! I would go see this movie again and Can't wait until the DVD is released!

i was surprised - in a good way about this movie. i hadnt paid to much attention to all the build up, just the date it would be in theaters as i wanted to take my daughter to it. there just arent enough disney princess movies :) we saw it yesterday and we loved it!! it was everything you would expect from disney. cant wait for it to come out on DVD. we love the new princess tiana!! very sweet story.

It was ok but but not my favorite. I was with a 2 yr old and 5 yr old and they were frightened by the Voodo scenes and floating black ghosts- such a shame it may give them nightmares.

I wasn't how this movie would compare to the classics, ..Cinderella, Snow White, Pocahantas...all of the movies myself and my kids grew up loving. I am a huge Disney fan and went into this with high expectations. This did not disappoint! What a beautiful story! What beautiful music! What a fantastic, feel good movie!! Disney handled a lot of difficult issues in a wonderful way. They revealed a bit of what it was like back in the 1920s for women and women of color, but without being depressing. The vibrant colors, characters, story, and scenery were enjoyable for the whole family. Being from Louisiana, I think Disney provided a beautiful depiction of a beautiful city. Do not expect it to a perfect depiction, but a beautiful one nonetheless.

Disney finally released an animated movie with an African-American main character! Better late than never. And boy was it worh the wait!
The Princess and The Frog is incredibly heart warming with musical numbers that will knock your socks off! I laughed and I cried at this wonderfully crafted film.
The voice talent was exceptional. And the story in tune with Southern U.S. culture, style and dialect!
Returning to traditional animation was a brilliant idea and helped to make this one another Disney classic!
I want to see it again!

This movie is truly a masterpiece. I enjoyed every second of it; great for people of any age. It has great song, character, story everything is there. I especailly loved how Tiana (the movies princess) isn't just waiting for a prince to find her and she pursues her own dream sort of like Belle ( Beauty and the Beast), Great movie overall great for children of all ages even boys; and adults. GOOD JOB DISNEY GOOD JOB LASSETER!
