My daughter is 10 and she loved it. She was amazed that the mom didn't die (as in most disney movies) and she was thrilled that disney made a movie in which people of color were the main characters. We loved it, and will definately add it to our disney collection when it comes out in DVD

My two daughters and I took my 2 grandchildren who are ages 3 & 2 years old. They enjoyed it. They sat through the movie eating their popcorn and gummi bears with their eyes glued to the screen. I was glued to the screen as well. I loved it. It was very colorful. The story line was great. We went to the mattinee. I plan to go to see the movie again with my husband. We are going to make a date to see this movie.

I saw The Princess and the Frog with my 6-year old daughter (who is a huge fan of all the Disney Princesses). The look on her face when the movie started was enough to warm my heart. The movie was great - bright and colorful with a fabulous musical score. I love the way it captured all the great things about New Orleans (wonderful music and food). I look forward to other Disney productions with Princess Tiana.

My almost 5 year old niece and I thoroughly enjoyed this movie. The storyline has some voo doo (the Shadow Man)- but a little preset for youngsters will alleviate their fears. The jazz music, all star cast, modern twist (a hard-working princess!) and all the dazzle we can expect from only Disney were in beautiful display. Who would think you would fall in love with an alligator and a firefly too? Wonderful!!!

Sorry...I have to disagree with alot of the previous posts! While Disney had a great idea on classic story I felt it took too much of a dark undertone. With the shadows and spells, demons etc. I did not think it a good spoof of this classic fairy tale. The Frog and Priness ideal was cute however the overall movie just had too many things to make it a movie I would recommend!

I took my 7 year old daughter to see this movie and we absolutely loved it. It was funny, visually beautiful, full of life and wonderfully written. I'm from Shreveport, LA and I thought the humor was spot on:) Perhaps there could have been a few more memorable songs but the singing was fantastic. We will be seeing this one again this holiday season!

We just saw this with a 4 year old girl and an 8 year old boy and 2 adults. We all enjoyed it very much-great music and laugh out loud moments. The "bad guy" was at times a little scary for my 4 year old but other than that the movie was great for all ages. One to purchase for sure!!!!!

Excellent movie with realsitic, endearing characters and beutiful background of New Orleans. The movie held the attention of the entire audience without a sound until the applause. Visually and in storytelling, this movie was lovely. All it needed for a fifth star was the kind of memorable music Disney used to have. They wove the different threads of New Orleans culture - historical and fictional - into a rich world that unfolded like the pages of a book and had delightful characters running through it.
I appreciate the Christian mom's concern about voodoo elements (take care with little ones because it is frightening in a realer way than some other Disney films), but the movie is hardly un-Christian. The demonic is rejected in favor of what is really meaningful. There is vivid and true imagery of blessings as well as curses, and I left surprisingly haunted by "Evangeline."

What a darling Disney film this is! Great idea - the Princess kisses the frog and turns into another frog!! The animation is old classic Disney - the music is creole with Dixieland jazz and zydeco. The characters are delightful. (Disney killed off the Father this time, instead of the Mother.... ) The background was magical - with New Orleans charm. The move is perfect timing for my daughter 5 year birthday. We ate at the CupCake Kitchen and the went to see the movie afterwards. They were all dressed in princess dresses and the we took lots of photos in front of the movie prop. They had so much fun. The movie's storyline was beautiful. I love, love love it. I also like how Disney captured the strong connection between the neighbors that's the value that I hold on to and moving to California six years ago, was a reality check that as New Orleanians we have strong family values and ties. I visit home each every year to not loose those values and to ensure my children stay connected with their culture. So my hats off to Disney for capturing a part of my culture heritage and for reconizing that New Orleans is one of the best places in the world to visit and truely a place that values people and families.

I must say, I was pleasantly suprised by this movie. The characters were well developed, in my opinion, complete with strengths and weaknesses. The interplay between the characters was not forced. And it was very nice to see Disney return to drawing the cells instead of CGI. I'm not sure the movie holds the same power as the Lion King or Beauty and the Beast, but it was well done nontheless.

This was definitely the best movie disney has produced in a long time!!! So glad that they have went back to creating CLASSIC disney musicals insted of all this 3-D animation..it is age appropriate for children as young as 3 and keep them well engaged..it was adorable, and made even the grown ups stand and clap and even BELIEVE IN TRUE LOVE AGAIN!!!!!!!!!

Back to basics in Disney format and the magic is still there. Great story, engaging protagonists, fun sidekicks, scary villains and a bouncing soundtrack. Loved it.
