Disney has done it again with "The Princess and the Frog". The artwork in the movie is awe-inspiring, the music is catchy and timeless, and the characters are engaging. Our 12 year old son wanted to take his Mom to see the movie on her Birthday. The family as whole enjoyed it. Even our 12 year old who is a true wrestling, Transformer, X-Men kind of boy. Even he enjoyed it...as a matter of fact, I think he enjoyed it the most!

Disney has done it again! This is a wonderful tale about working hard for your dreams wth the lesson being don't keep love on the sidelines while you pursue them. Having love in your life is the most important achievement you could ever have. The characters in the movie will remind you of other Disney movie characters. Louis reminded me of Baloo in The Jungle Book and Raymond reminded me of Sebastian the crab in The Little Mermaid. Even though their energy and personalities are similar, they do tell their own story. It's another winner from Disney!

I took my five year-old daughter to see the movie and she really enjoyed it. It's beautifully drawn and the characters are endearing! We loved the music (my daughter was dancing around) and I got a little misty-eyed at the end. It's a very sweet story!

This movie was superb. a modern day twist on Cinderella with a taste of The Wizard of Oz and The Little Mermaid in a movie as gripping as Shrek. We went to see it as a family and everyone thouroughly enjoyed themselves (from my 9 year old son to my 24 yr old daughter, and both adults) A must see.

This was definitely a good movie for Disney's first attempt at creating a African-American princess.
I thought that overall they had a good story line, but I wasn't keen on the fact that Tiana and her family were from the poor areas of New Orleans and would have like to see a successful African-American family produce a princess, because successful African-Americans do exist.
In no way am I bashing the film, but I'm just making it known that the background of the family could have been a tad bit less stereotypical.
3 and a half stars!

This movie was awesome - it followed in the tradition of great Disney animation with nice catchy songs and a good story line. It did move a little fast for me, but I think it was a good pace for the children. The theater was packed and everyone enjoyed it. Definitely a must see!

Has an old school disney princess feel to the movie but with more hip and jazzy music. Disappointing that they had to add the dark scary elements with the underworld shadows and voodoo dolls coming to life and bug crushing. It probably would have been better rated as PG. My 2.5 year old was telling me that is was scary during the movie as well as my friends' children - 2.5 and 3.

For the past few years I've been disappointed at the lack of Disney magic present in movies. In The Princess and the Frog, we are treated with what was seen in the 90s--music, inventive characters (including a nasty villain), a strong plot, and a love story. It was also great to have another princess with a strong mind who can be a great role model for young girls.
The only disclaimers to this movie are the villain and one character death. If I were younger I may have been a bit scared, but the villain is comparable to Scar (Lion King) and/or Maleficent (Sleeping Beauty) while the character death is tragic, but has a positive outlook as well.
I HIGHLY recommend seeing this movie--witty scenes kept me entertained the whole way through!

I thought the movie was excellent! Some have issues with the voodoo & a death of one of the characters. But its all within a reasonable context really. The voodoo is synonymous with the New Orleans setting and the use of it for evil purposes is demonstrated as the losing force between good & evil. The death of the character is no more of an issue for children as Bambi's mother was eons of years ago and really a little less traumatizing in my opinion. Overall it's a great movie, great moral message of reaching within for achieving your goals/dreams...a message today's children can't hear enough.

What a wonderful movie! The characters, the story and music were great! Of course some may be really picky and say that this movie is predictable, but it has a nice theme of believing in yourself and your dreams is important. We enjoyed the movie. It was very entertaining. I recommend to parents but some of the dark scenes might be a little scary for really young people so be aware of this.

My daughter and I have been waiting on this movie for 2 years. We even through a party in celebration of its release. It was well worth it. Great storyline! Ray is my favorite character. I urge everyone to go see this movie.

We loved this movie. Very entertaining!!!! We loved every bit of it. My little one (age 6) was dancing and laughing. I was so glad she enjoyed it. We even stayed to watch the credits roll.
