From beginning to end this is one FUNNY movie. Although romantic it was not too serious and told a good story of how 'unexpected' falling in love can be - and the consequences thereof.

Yes, I get it, some people thought the language was offensive but you know what, that's life people. Guys really do think like that & men & women really talk like that. If you are someone who frequents kids movies then yes, you may be offended. My suggestion is to get out of the computer animated G rated world you are living in & join the adults more often. The Ugly Truth is simply hysterical! I figured it was a romantic comedy, which are usually about as funny as a sitcom, with a romantic trajectory. But, the Ugly Truth was the kind of funny that you have to remember to breathe in between laughter. You almost can't -that's how funny it is. Wrong, right or indifferent - my 16 year old son came with us. Some of the language made me feel a little awkward with him next to me, but he loved it and he's traditionally more mature than some kids his age so I relaxed a little bit.

I went to this film with the hope that it would be a fun summer movie, and I left with a bad taste in my mouth. My husband wanted to leave halfway through, and I almost agreed, but we stayed, hoping it would improve as it reached the end of its story arc. Alas, there was very little to like about this film. The characters are pretty much one-dimensional, and the ending was very predictable. Gerard Butler summed it all up when asked why he was in love with Katherine Heigl's character: "Beats the s*** out of me." I feel the same about why anyone would waste their money or their time on this sad piece of juvenile humor- and profanity-laced fluff.

I thought it was well worth the ticket price. It was original and side splitting. Gerard was as beautiful as he ever was and the blonde was a good addition to the movie as well ;) Great movie

The language made not only me squirm but especially the women in the audience. Otherwise, good summer fun/fantasy. Liked how Gerard Butler and Katherine Heigl played off each other. Like the 'Moonlighting'' Tv show.

I enjoyed the movie. Gerard Butler so Cute!!! Katherine Heigl adorable. They really look good togethter and can tell they both like each other. The movie was a bit predictable but I found it very entertaining.

It's definitely "formula" when it comes to rom-coms's, but it was adorable and had a bit more vulgarity thrown in than normal, which was a nice change. Katherine Heigl and Gerard Butler really seemed to play well off of each other and all of the others throughout the film, Cheryl Hines, Bree Turner, etc. were all a hit. I missed a lot because of the laughter and I know my husband is not this kind of man, but the movie was a hit to me.
