If you've seen the trailer for The Ugly Truth, you know what it's going to be about and you know how it's going to end. There's nothing new in Romantic Comedies, so the important thing is what they put between point A and point B.
In the case of The Ugly Truth, what is put in between point A and point B is utterly hilarious. Unlike The Proposal, the funniest material is in the movie, not the trailers. And at points, I laughed so long I missed dialogue. I recommend this movie and I may even watch it a second time.

I saw this movie at a sneak preview, and I was a little disappointed. It has some really funny moments, but I think it tries a little too hard to be funny by having a few scenes that are just silly. It was also very predictable - about 15 minutes into it you knew exactly what was going to happen. I love a good romantic comedy or "chick flick", but this isn't one of the better ones.

This movie was really cute. It's a typical rom-com and you know even before you get into the theater that at the end they get together. (Sorry if you hadn't figured that out just by the previews) But still it was funny. The language wasn't that bad - I've heard worse in PG13 movies, the jokes weren't so disgusting and off color. And ultimately you get to watch Gerard Butler so it can't be that bad, right?

Feel good, funny, fast moving. Good chemistry. Refreshing to see a movie that isn't a remake, sequel or a copy of similiar movie. We enjoyed it this is an R movie that I wouldn't take my preteen to see. The actors were very natural. I give it 4 flicks up....

Fluff. Enjoyable and funny, but forgettable. A good light way to spend a date. Gerard Butler seems to be gravitating away from some of the more dramatically challenging roles of his past. I'd like to see him in a meatier drama again (like "Dear Frankie").

We saw the preview of The Ugly Truth last night and it was very, very funny. The theater was close to sold out. The audience was very entertained (only one guy walked out, perhaps he could not handle The Ugly Truth). The language is a bit coarse so moviegoer beware. Katherine Heigl is very attractive in the film. Nothing in the commercials indicated that the story takes place in a tv station. As a former broadcaster I got a a few of the inside jokes, but most of the funny stuff is funny for all. The writing is sharp and the casting is spot on. I will predict that this movie will be number one at the box office when it opens in wide release.

I obviously havn't seen the movie but I looked into it alittle bit. Well I think this is going to be funny.
I warn you parents that take your kids to see any movie out there. There is alot of adult content in this movie and bad language through out. This was made for people that are about 18+.
I can't really recommend this movie because I think this is a movie that has its moments but we'll see when it first comes out. I'll make a new review on opening day for this movie
