I am glad to see some adult "R' comedies that do not cater to sleaziness! The chemistry between Heigl and Bulter was great; Heigl was refreshingly a little vulgar - it a funny way! The film had some great comic moments. In addition, the movie brings us some great comments about the sexes. There is enough adult content to keep the men alert, and enough romance to keep the women hugging your arm. GO see it!.

I love Katherine Heigl and Gerard Butler, but for some reason I only felt their love connection for seconds at a time. This movie was very cute, but I also feels that it gives false hope to women. I would recommend seeing it.

The concept, plot, directing, and acting were all terrific. The on-screen chemistry between Gerard and Katherine 'clicked' and Gerard's portrayal of how men think was dead on. I went with my 84 year old mother who alos loved the movie. But it is rated 'R', and for good reason, they don't hesitate in discussing the deviant thinking of men, though every reference brought laughs to all.

Heigl and Butler are funny together and the story is worth sitting through. My girlfriend absolutely loved it and I didn't hate it. If you want to enjoy a night at the movies with your woman and have her hear some truth for a change, this will do the trick. Hey, she might even put out with more effort as a result of it--now that's entertainment.

It's really a cute movie, it's also really a chick flick. I think guys who are doing a date night would be able to handle it because of Gerard Butler's character. Also I think most girls will empathize with Katherine Heigl's character. Lots of good laughs throughout the movie, however it's pretty predictable. It's not quite as sappy as Butler's P.S. I Love You and, personally, it was funnier than Heigl's 27 Dresses. So I would defiantly say if you're wanting a night out with the girls or if you're a guy wanting to take your girl to the movies this one is worth the 10 or so dollars to go see. I will probably buy when it comes out on DVD myself and will probably go see it again when it's released on July 24th.

Went with my husband last night and we enjoyed it immensely! GREAT DATE MOVIE! Great performances and lots of laugh-out-loud moments. Heigl is adorable and Butler is charming as ever. Highly recommend!!

I thought the film's language was very strong and offensive even for adults; and I am 39! Rated R movies keep pushing the envelope when it comes to providing film substance for adults. The idea now is that you need strong adult language and scences to entertain adults. I was completely surprised by it's triple x language. Hollywood doesn't need to compete with the xxx industry to bring adults to see their movies. I believe the trailer aired on the commercials should issue a verbal disclaimer regarding the strong language and scenes. I don't apprecaite the use of children actors in a movie with such strong adult content and that's the ugly truth.

Anyone who has seen the previews knows exactly how this film is going to end, but the journey makes seeing it worthwhile. There are some remarkably funny scenes AND there are some remarkably predictable moments. Both actors seem totally natural in their roles, but Katherine Heigl's role is a bit over the top and not truly believable. Gerard Butler plays his role perfectly.

Really funny with a few nuggets of truth. Crude in parts but consistent humor throughout. Not up there with my favorite romantic comedies but good for a diversion. And my husband liked it because they speak "guy" through most of the movie. I love the hot air balloon scene.

Gerard Butler and Katherine Heigl have a charming chemistry. Gerard was magnificent, as usual, and Katherine was very funny. Great movie, dynamic characters. funny overall. Heigl was gorgeous. even though the language was a bot coarse, caught me off guard. i have still recommended this movie to all of my friends. My theater had all ranges of viewers that enjoyed it, from my sister being 16 to old timers that fell out of their chair laughing, literally. future movie for my collection.

Guys, if you have to see a "chick flick" - let it be The Ugly Truth. Katherine Heigl is hot and Gerrod Butler is hysterical. While it's a typical romantic comedy, the script is so well written that you will laugh your "you know what off".
Gerrod Butler's character is truly a guys-guy and says the things most of us think but never say aloud. Sharp, funny & clever - and it counts as chick-flick!

LOVED IT! It was predictable, but the scenes had you thinking OMG. The chemistry between characters had you hooked from the first scene. It was a great lets forget about reality movie. Don’t bring the kids, definitely lots of s**ual banter.

I loved this movie. It was extremely funny with the entire theather laughing in unison. The combination of both type of female and male humor was spot on. It's the perfect date film for both singles and married couples!

Finally, there is a movie out that both my guy and girl friends can enjoy! I wouldn't recommend taking a date as you will probably drool over the stars, but the movie definitely appeals to everyone. It is hilarious and fresh. Definitely one for adults. Kids under 18 probably shouldn't see it. But, if you're mature enough to handle a few crass words here and there, then you'll love this movie!
