The plot, story, & characters are never developed, the movie starts in the middle of the action, you feel like you've missed everything between the end of Terminatior 3 and now. The fact you have one of the female's in the movie fall for the good terminator, and he doesn't even know he's a machine?? Then you have a terrible cgi version of Arnold?? Then the good termintaor gives up his heart to save John Connor?? Do us a favor, don't make the sequel!!!!!

deffinately plenty of action from beginning to end. Would recommend it as an action movie, only problem I had with it was that some pieces from the other movies did not fit together like puzzle pieces like they should have. Terminator:Salvation is another example of Hollywood's grab for cash. The premise is easily readable, and the overall plot development feels less than fully thought out. Sci-fi is made for fun, but suspension of disbelief would be nice. CGI/action is great, but nothing you couldn't find in any 360 game. I recommend waiting til this is out on cable.

If you loved the previous Terminator's, you will enjoy this movie. Lots of great CGI robots and creative killing machines. The set designs were really great too. I would give it 5 stars, but there were some parts in the script where it felt like the story jumped around. A few inconsistencies, but nothing to ruin the movie.

At least as good as T2. Some plots line coincided with the first two movies. Kyle Reese is still a youngster. We see how JC gets his scars. Skynet got smashed just like the time traveling Reese says it does from T1. Bale is great in the role of John Connor. He still wants to believe and now he is the leader of the resistance. Bravo!

This movie is much better then the 3rd one by far, there is no ageing T1000 with bad one liners here and colored hair . Its almost up there with T2 , but I could see that it was trying to be a great summer movie it just turned out to be a good enough. The plot line was weak and inconsistant with the other movies. Remember the first terminator movies' opening scene of the future with armies of bots and this one takes place 18 years later and theres only one in downtown L.A.? all in all, an enjoyable summer thrill ride worth seeing in the real theater. not the best in the terminator series (#1 still rules), but not the worst. definitely an intense movie with lots of explosions to keep you awake. will be interesting to see director's cut, as i believe much was left on the cutting room floor, likely for getting duration of film below 2hr (and to get PG-13 rating). i give it thumbs up- go and see it in the theater.

I really enjoyed this sequel to the terminator series. I love Christian Bale and thought that he made a great John Connor. I was a little disappointed with the lack of action. I was expecting more fighting and action scenes between the machines and humans. Overall, I was happy to continue the saga but felt it could have had more excitement and energy.

Be prepared to sink into you seat and enjoy the non-stop, rapid-fire action of the 4th installment in the Terminator series. McG has done an excellent job of portraying a post-apocalyptic earth... but throughout the movie, there is an emptiness, maybe because there are 2 leading men and we're not sure who is the hero. The ending was textbook... wish there were more twists to the plot! But an enjoyable romp if you're looking for an afternoon of explosive action.

As expected, the reviews on this movie are pretty much split. This movie can best be summed up as marginally-acceptable computer graphics eye candy. Without spoiling, this flick offers no salvation either to the storyline or the franchise. The plot is unfulfilling, anti-climactic, and just plain dull. At times the presentation is inconsistent and even ludicrous-- such as a full-metal Terminator wearing a mercenary-type bandana) and experienced fighter smacking-a-terminator in its solid metal jaw with bare knuckles and with such force as to actually make its head physically move (I mean, seriously).

I must admit - I'm a huge fan of the Terminator series. The original "Terminator" is my favorite movie of all time (a perfect blend of action, special effects, suspense, and romance). "Terminator Salvation" is a terrific follow up to the first three films. Yes, you do have to suspend disbelief here and there, and there are a few plot holes, but this is science fiction - you're not watching the movie for the screenplay! The special effects in this film are incredible, and the action sequences will keep you on the edge of your seat. Plus, the film doesn't take itself too seriously, with a couple of humorous jabs at the previous Terminator flicks. If you loved the first Terminator, you'll love this one.

Bale was right to turn this one down initially. I wanted to believe that McG could pull it off but was sadly disappointed. I liked the movie even though I am not a big Christian Bale fan. I would have loved to see Nicholas Cage in this role. The movie was exciting and had just enough twists to keep me engaged and anxious for the next scene. Terminator: Salvation was one of the best movies I've seen this year. I hate going to movies expecting to see a great action movie or a "real" scary movie and I get mediocre or just plan junk (no pun intended). I enjoyed the movie but not that impressed!! being a fan from the inception of the movie it missed some important key elements from the orginial!!! But I am looking forward to seeing the next one to address the full circle chapter of the series.

True to the Terminator story line. There was a ton of action and I was glad to see the special effects in the theater instead of at home. Definitely a movie for Terminator fans and followers. Not the best film of the year but entertaining, especially if you enjoy the Terminator series.

Good action. Story could have been looped to finish off the series after this movie was over but hopefully the series isn't just trying to get more money for having a bunch of robots shoot up humans. I wasn't expection too much but was well satisfied after the credits rolled. Glad I went to see it.
