Actors & action - top notch. The storyline could've been better. Had a hard time trying to figure out what exactly they were on to - a little slow to start, but stellar actors and action sequences made up for it. I'm a fan of it and I'll buy it on DVD. Christian Bale is great, and so is the new Terminator.

This movie was a snoozer. The plot was too thin to be engaging. The CG was nice but, if there's not much of a storyline (or if it's too convoluted) you'll never win over the viewer and that is this movie... I can't recommend it.

I will make it simple. The movie is decent if you want to see pure action and nice CG. Storyline, acting, and ending was dull. This is the worse terminator movie out of the other 3. Watching it at the movies for the action ain't all that as I thought it would be. I highly recommend watching it on DVD with a nice high def. TV and awesome surround sound. Trust me save your money and wait till its on DVD.

I think as 'Terminator' movies go this release was only fair. Christian Bale is a very good and dedicated actor, but the movie was missing the Governator except in a cameo appearance. This franchise is done in my opinion.

This movie was OK, but not great. In most movies, there's a certain amount of "suspension of disbelief" that the viewer doesn't mind. In this movie, it is hard to ignore.
For example, it takes place after the first three, but relatively speaking, it's a piece of cake to kill the terminators. You just drop a hunk of metal on them, and they die? come on.
However, there's a lot of great action, the special effects are good and the acting's not bad.
We're not sorry we saw it, but liked the first three movies much better.

Really mind blowing special effects, unbelievable (literally) action sequences, and a story line straight out of a seventh grade drama class. The movie flows like water in a busted pipe. The movie was decent as far as action films go. You get your generic explosion and suspense scenes, though, i have a few qualms with it. A movie that is based on a serious theme should also have as much realism in it as is possible to make the experience as believable as possible. There were several parts where i lost touch. i will only mention a few. 1. he has bad luck with helicopters obviously note the proximity of the two nuclear blasts near start and finish of movie. 2. drop the batman act. 3. A terminator is a machine they don't play around with their targets, choke or throw them around, They destroy them. Though semi convincing the walking c600s were obviously humans in outfits. A little more time would have made this a fantastic.

We went to see this at the theater that has the reclining rumble seats, and I am so glad we did. I felt like I was in the movie. It was packed with action. I didn't know a movie that packed with action could be mushy too, but I found myself drawn to the characters, and crying when things went wrong for them. I hate to cry at the movies! It left me wanting to see more!

I wanted to like this movie, but I couldn't. The story seemed flat and I didn't feel connected with any of the characters. I wish they would have delved more into how Skynet knew about Kyle Reese. How did they know or did they know that he was John Connor's father? If Kyle Reese was #1 on their list to exterminate, why didn't they kill him once he was caught. Also, I wish they would have shown how Marcus Wright was turned into a half human-half terminator.
The movie's ending left me with more questions than answers.

SPOILERS!!! I didn’t see this movie until AFTER I heard the bad reviews. So, I went in with low expectations. 1st? Anton Yelchin is the man (getting the voice of Quirky Chekov in Star Trek). A Michael Biehn impression of Reese - teeth clenched, loud whisper( Christopher Lambert's Connor McCleod), and passion just underneath the surface being justly subdued...he is the man! It’s just small stuff that’s so cool – like that Guns-N-Roses song "You Could Be Mine" in T2 and T4 (John played intentionally to get the attention of the motorcycle robots in 2018). Or 90’s John using that card thing for hacking ATMs...yeah, the older John uses the same, but way more advanced tech, for hacking into the machine database in ‘18. It was cool. I'm done.

This movie was a great addition to the Terminator universe. If you are a fan of the first three movies, you should like this one as well.
I had a hard time deciding between this and Star Trek, since Star Trek was getting much better reviews. But I figured since I'm a Terminator fan at heart (I own all 3 movies, but no Star Treak movies)... I decided to go and see this.
Man I am glad I did, it is a spectacular film. The story might not be quite as deep as 2, but it sure does feel like a Terminator movie nonetheless.
I can't wait for the next movie in the series now and watch John Connor (Christian Bale) become the leader of the resistance.

Movies that tend to be "a little over-the-top" or even just too far-fetched sometimes seem to leave me with a sour taste afterwards. This movie was not so. I enjoyed it very much. Well I must say this movie definitely exceeded what I thought was going to be cheesy, but I was pleasantly surprised. Unlike most overly talked about movies I was thoroughly impressed with the way this movie played out and how everything went. From the new age robot to them playing in Arnold keeping his promise that he would be the one to kill John Connor. Overall this movie did an excellent job tying up all the lose knots, and leaving it in the hands of the writers for a further development in the Terminator Series.

My son and I are both Terminator fans. We both rate the movie as a solid "4.5". The movie answered some questions but also left us with more. Special effects were good. I almost never see movies a second time but I will go back and watch it again.

The movie was good with the spec fx. Arnold was missed but seeing FArnold (fake Arnold) was good, too. As someone else mentioned, the movie is rather dark without the usual humorous remarks from Arnold, but HEY even the first Batman movie had changed some things from the TV series.

If your a terminator fan than this is definitely a must see movie. Even tho it is not the best out of the series in terms of story it is definitely the best in terms of effects. The story itself seems to lack some guts and leaves you feeling like you didnt learn enough. All in all it is good for some reason I just thought it would have been much better.

I didn't have lots of expectation because of what I heard about the movie but seeing it, it totally changed my whole idea.
I really liked it. I think people should go and judge it after seeing it and not of what the have read or heard.
In my opinion it is a pretty good movie and has an excellent cast and features in all ways.

This movie as an action flick was good, and if you go into the movie wanting just that than you're good to go. But if you have several more brain cells or are a Terminator fan wait until this comes out as a rental. The movie leaves you with no emotional connection to any of the characters, and if not for Sam Worthington the acting would have gotten an "D". Honestly, the T-franchise has given us so much depth yet McG and crew seemingly decides to skip any script with any substance for the sake of action. Way to think outside the box, Hollywood.
Many things were just plain ridiculous, and at times I wondered if I was watching The Matrix. The little things made the movie unbelievable.
