This is a great movie. Non stop action, great acting, awesome special effects, excellent plot.
I commend the director/producers for bringing this great cast together. Christian Bale is great in almost anything he does.
I loved that nostalgic references to the earlier terminators,
THe variety in the skynet bots was and the special effects which created them were amazing.
I would have liked if they would have had some of the cast from Sarah Connor Chronicles in the film. How awesome would it have been to see Summer Glau Busting some caps or Derek working in the resistance.

Fully loaded with near h0m0 s3xual excitement, my house mates and I ventured to watch one of our most anticipated movies on the summer season. Although the first 10 minutes of the movie was 'decently' exciting, the rest is mediocre at best. The beauty of T2 was it's uncanny ability to mix action and story-line seemlessly...forcing the viewer to engage in whatever was on screen and crecendoing all emotions during action scenes. This movie, is more like going on a date, spending 200 dollars on a hot chick after thinking about getting lucky all day, and then ending up with only a index finger tap on your jewels. Acting terrible, CG pixel and renders terrible...Terminator Salvation Terrible.

I am a hardcore Terminator fan. This movie was super epic. The CGI was amazing and it still felt very organic in a way in coincide with the first couple films. Continuity was spot on. Got to see this film with D-BOX seats. It was awesome. Felt this film was really well done. Bale did really good as did all the actors.

Salvation has resurrected the Terminator. It had a lot of throwback to the prior movies; with phrases, action sequences, cameos, etc. it is sure to tickle and entertain the hardcore fans and all who sees this movie. The movie had a lot of "heart," and could have been better if it had an R-rating like the 1st two, but nonetheless it was very enjoyable. It is a great addition to the series. Bring on the sequels!

I went into the theater with no great expectations (didn't want to be disappointed) and I came away from the theater HAPPY! One of my BIGGEST pet peeves is a good movie, but a crummy ending and this was good all around. I figured out Marcus' deal pretty early on, so that helped with following the movie. There were a few things that didn't add up but having that one-certain cameo (not going to give it away) near the end was a pretty good tie in to the other movies. Overall, I would not only recommend this movie to anyone and everyone I know, but I'd invite myself along with them to see it again. <wink>.

Terminator - Salvation. If it wasn't for Christian Bale this would have been a bore. Don't get me wrong but the effects were great. The terminators in the movie gave me nightmares, I know, wuss. All around this is a must see if you are a fan. If not watch the frist few and you won't be left out.

I have followed and been a fan of the Terminator saga since its debut in 1984. This movie is a good bridge between what we know has happened and is supposed to happen. The idea of several different types of terminators is cool. I wish they would have shown more of that. The story of Marcus has a twist that is not fully known until the end. A brief digital cameo near the end of the movie was a bit cheesy but also kind of cool. Over all is was pretty good. Could leave room for a fifth and final Terminator sequel.

I'm a huge fan of the Terminator movies. Over the past six months my girlfriend and I have watched the all the previous installments, as well as the Sarah Connor Chronicles.
But this piece of the puzzle was probably weakest... or at par with 'Rise of the Machines'. The idea of Marcus is pretty great, but the pay-off somehow wasn't as big as it could've been.
The movie felt more like a Vietnam War movie at times, than a Terminator movie. But then how many new story lines can they possibly invent to tie all these different things together?!

I think this movie is a great vehicle to revive the series. The casting was great, and the acting was excellent and believable. The story was predictable at some points, but engaging overall.
Some have complained that this isn't the future they wanted to see; this is the whole point of a dystopia. It's a future you don't want.
This one doesn't overtake T2 as far as suspense, but as an overall movie it is great.

First, the good: some high quality, gritty looking action sequences. Otherwise: predictable (the only 'twist' in the movie had been given away by trailers), and unimaginative plot, a few hackneyed one-liners, lacking the grim appeal of the first two movies by a wide margin, and to top it, the final terminator sequence reducing the whole experience to a ridiculous (i will refrain from revealing why it is so ticklish) blob...makes you realize they expected the karma of the first two movies to cleanse whatever shoddy mishmash they put on screen.

This movie was all pop and no plot. The terminator movies have always delivered good stories where you feel like you are learning more about the saga. Great special effects, great new character, a very grim but likeable John Conner. McG did a great job. This film was much better than T3, but that's not saying much. Almost as good as T2, except I wanted more from John and Kate.

Apparently in the future, if you see a Terminator, you're required to shout out its model number and then run around in circles in a panic while it guns you down. It definitely wasn't the best of the Terminator series, but also not the worst. The cinematography and special effects were stunning, but the plotting and character development left a lot to be desired -- the story seemed like one long string of special effects. All in all, though, this movie seems to exists only to set the stage for more Terminator movies.

I was born in 70's and grew up watching all the terminator movies, mad max, rambo's etc. I enjoy movies for what they are. The action scenes that were there were good. I would liked to have seen just more action or a better story which could have put this terminator over the top. The ending leaves the door open for more termiator's to be made and I hope that is what the writer was trying to do. I know he wanted to make a different terminator movie but old terminator if you got hit 2 or 3 times you not getting back up fighting lol. Bring the BAD back in terminators they werent to scary to me. If i break into a stronghold i expect to see a little more resistance from machines. You'll see what I mean.

I walked out of Salvation feeling like I was part of the resistance. I don't think it was the big screen, the acting, or even the special effects for that matter. I'd have to say it was all of them combined. Salvation brings you in and keeps you, action packed so well balanced with the drama that you feel like you're one of them. The Terminator is back, reinvented, and frankly better than ever.

I have to say that maybe I went into this movie expecting too much and thus was let down. The problem here is the story. I think that the story would have been better served if the audience was not already in the know about Marcus (which was given to us in the previews) being a robot. I think the plotline for this movie could have been tremendous had this been the storyline that encompassed the entire triology so that the fans could have built up some attachment to the characters involved that could have made all the "reveals" that much more meaningful. I think anyone who enjoys Terminator movies would like it but one should not expect it to me a monumental achievement.

This movies was good. Not great. Majority of the really cool stuff was shown in the previews. A lot of time spent on character building. Not as much time spent on machines vs humans (which I am hopefully that the next one.. if there is on will be - I dunno if I would see it in the theaters tho). Thought the Marcus Character was very interesting but I hated the way it ended.

This was a great action movie. I think some of the reviewers who were disappointed because some things aren't logical weren't being fair. All movies like this(including the first 3 terminators) can be picked to pieces if you want to do it. Great action with very few slow parts. Will probably see it again on the big screen.

Much of the movie was a little slow, but it would have been well worth it had I been able to experience the mind blowing plot twist that was spoiled by the movie trailer. I would NOT recommend seeing this movie if you have watched the trailer.
