Freaking awesome movie! The special effects are incredible, the action is amazing and everything works on all cylinders. The new character cyborg guy was absolutely amazing. Make no mistake, this is his story, not John Connor's. And you will be glad because this actor from Australia is incredible. It's like watching Hugh Jackman play Wolverine for the first time. This guy has a great career ahead of him. The Arnold Schwarzennegger CGI is pretty good. Not perfect, but pretty good. Once that T-800 starts ripping the place apart you will have a renewed respect for that model.

Good movie, but not great like the first two. Big budget allowed for a lot of explosions and 85% of the dialoge is screamed back and forth. The robots are cool, but the movie was full of cheesy and predictable parts trying to connect with the past films, including John Conner telling his men, "I'll be back"

I am a terminator movie lover. I also love Christian Bale. I had high hopes for this one. I just wish they had spent a little more time on the writing. Of course special effects are important to people, but a lot of us like a story that holds together with previous movies and doesn't leave us asking things like "now why is this guy chasing that guy?" I wanted something great and left without it.

I keep reading some of these other reviews and can't help but laugh. Maybe they were watching a different movie. The CGI was amazing, so to say that it was better in T2, is ludacris. I think one thing that makes it a great movie, is that it is different from the others. If it were the same, than what would be the point. It was not cheezy like its predicessors. The cast were great, especially Sam Worthington. He plays a much better role of terminator than the "I'll be back" Guy. Not hating on Arnold, but really! Can you say he is a epic actor?NO! To finish my post, it was a great movie & I give MAD props to Mc.G for another notch on the post!

I have loved the Terminator series thus far but this one was quite dissapointing. From the weak acting (even the ever pleasant Bale) to the lost story line (what happened to using the sound waves?), I was let down by this movie. The only savior was that Arnold "was back". Special Effects and Graphics were awesome. I loved all of the references and tributes to the 1st and 2nd Terminator movies. There were many so keep your eyes and ears out! It does help to know the story line from the previous movies, but even if you are not familiar you will love the explosions!

I love this movie! It goes much more in depth than the other terminator movies and the special effects are awesome. Marcus Wright is a scene stealer, much more interesting as a character than John Connor even. Christian Bale does some of that annoying Batman lispy talk, but other than that awesome!

Obviously the movie is OK IMHO as I gave it three stars (more like 2.5 stars)...but it was contrived, jumped the shark a number of times, and Bale's acting was deporable. This was Terminator -- not Batman right? He seemed stucked in a Batman alter ego.
On the positive side the visuals, the Marcus Wright character AND his acting were superb. The details and thought they put into creating the machines was very good-- and the motorcycle scenes were the very best parts of the movies. Wish they had more scenes like that.
In the end I wished I had waited for the DVD. I hear Star Trek is so much better from people who have seen both.

I enjoyed this movie. However, I think this movie will suffer the same fate as the last Matrix movie. People enjoy the blowing up in our world. Not in the desolate future. Just as the last Matrix mostly takes place outside of the Matrix, this movie takes place after judgement day. I am a huge fan of all the Matrix movies and Terminators. I would recommend this movie. Be prepared for it to be much more serious than some of the lighthearted Arnold banter in the previous Terminators. Anyhoo, I thought the story was good and overall the movie was good.

I have to say that I can usually find a saving grace about a movie. Heck, I even liked 'Wing Commander" but this movie was deplorable. There was not one good thing about it. The acting was less than average, the plot was an insult to Jim Cameron, and the overall direction they took the series in didn't make sense. Should it be save us from some weak plots? The FX & CGI are top notch, I think Sam Worthington played a fantastic part as Marcus Wright. Kudos also to Anton Yelchin as young Kyle Reese. This was not as bad as some say but its not T2. It needed a little something extra and felt the plot was not bad but at times it could have used a little more. Action, eye candy are all there. I recommend it but not a 5 star flick either.

Why was John Connor so surprised to see a terminator in real human skin? He saw them twice when he was a kid. I know it was more about the terminator being half human half machine, but still seemed the Connor character was a little too surprised for what he had gone through when he was a kid. Why are there always random fires burning in the street years after the apocalypse? Also I would have liked to seen a darker and grittier version (as Reese flashed back to in the original) with a R rating.

i actually enjoyed the movie overall, but I believe the star of the movie was actually Sam Worthington, and Bale played as a Co-Star... But either way it was pretty good. The Cinematography was pretty dreamlike and dark... thought it was good... T-600's were pretty mean too...

The visuals are pretty awesome in this Terminator movie.
Some simple but chuckle funny references to the rest of the series including in the soundtrack.
Even the story line made somewhat sence!! (OK it helps they didn't try and mess with jumping through time in this one)
Nice ending as well, with plenty of space to keep the series going...

I've never seen any of the other T movies so I didn't know what to expect... my BF said that it would be good so I went with an open mind. I was able to get into the storyline even do it would have helped if the other T movies were watched, action packed if your into that, great graphics. If your a chick and unsure of this movie I'd say give it a try and maybe you'll start getting into a different style of movies...
