I have seen this movie 3 times. This is a movie you would have to see more then once to understand the story its self to the fullest. People need to get over that this isn't like the other terminators. This is more of a light terminator. Christian Bale was alright in this movie he could have put alittle more feeling into it. Sam Worthington was execllent. I think he was my favorite actor that was in the movie.
I recommend that you see this movie more then once to understand the visual effects and story line more.

Something was missing. It had alot of action which was great, but the story line lacked interest. The other Terminator movies were awesome, I expected more from this one. I am a huge terminator fan and I wasn't sure if this would live up to the others. They did a good job of connecting this with the other movies as well as make this story line interesting on its own. It still left me wanting a little more, but I guess that is the point. Now they can have another movie.

I thought it was a great film, with some stunningly conceived camera moves using virtual technology.
Considering so much of the machines and locations don't rely exist and had to be created I think the producers did a terrific job and it certainly felt like a very expensive movie to produce. There are those who would never give this film a chance simply because the original Terminator stars are not the main stars of this one - but I think that's being very narrow minded.
The storyline at the end was definitely debatable as to whether it was too soppy and even necessary, but apart from that it was all action with some great performances. FYI I'm a TV Producer and Director.

I have to say when the movie first came out i was reluctent to see it because most of the other terminator movies kinda sucked but when i saw the movie it actuly turned out to be freakin awesome the action sequences where good sound was around 8/10 anyway cus of my limited amount i can say here . If you are expecting this movie to flow with the previous Terminator movie, you will be glad to know it's not! I love the Terminator series but was disappointed with the last movie. Terminator Salvation blows the series out of the water with the high octane action and heart thumping battle scenes. The machines of Skynet are more sinister and scarier than before and the battle scenes are in your face. This movie could be the start of a whole new Terminator series where this is a prequel as we are introduced to a teenage Kyle Rees long before he meets Sarah Connor. Keep an open mind while watching this movie and try not to fit into any preconceived idea of the series as a whole and you will love it as much as I did.

The Terminator saga takes us into the future to where we get to see the adult John Conner. It turns out that John Conner has almost as many detractors as supporters against their fight for survival against Skynet. When he learns that his father is in danger and without him Conner himself would cease to exsist he must weigh the consequences of disobeying orders or to rescue his father. The special effects were good and the action scenes were less than the standards o the first two movies but acceptable. Christian Bale, when not throwing a temper tantrum proves he is part of the next generation of phenonal performers. A worthy movie to see.

Well, all I can say is this: This movie is best seen after watching the first three right before you go. Especially the first one. There's alot of little details you will miss if you don't. I was somewhat disappointed with the lack of story (not enough emotion), otherwise, the acting was good but not great. If you REALLY like the Terminator series, go see it. It was a major disappointment! It was a joke, my wife fell asleep during the movie. Skynet and the terminators were made out to be less intelligent then the humans. To many times they could have killed John Conner and Kyle Reese but somehow they got away..lol. I would not recommend this movie.

I finally went to see it with great anticipation. That was a mistake. I was extremely disappointed with the story line because there really wasn't one. All that was shown was stuff being blown up. The story was weak and the SPX were used to try to cover it up.

This movie was a master piece of horrible. The directing was awful, the acting was very stiff/bland, and the story writing was unforgivable.
The only good thing about the movie was some of the animation, and even that wasn't great when compared to transformers, the matrix, and other movies in the genre.
My #1 complaint, is how intelligent/stupid the writers made skynet out to be. Terminators are supposed to be highly intelligent hunting/killing machines. Theses Terminators were failing when it came to terminating. *ugh* I can't really complain enough, and I do not want to beat the dead horse. Bottom line is someone needs to be kicked in the balls for releasing this movie.

I have been a fan of the terminator movies from the very beginning mainly because I am a big Arnold fan. I love them all and this movie is no exception. Perhaps the story line was a little weaker than the previous movies but the special effects made up for it. The battle scenes and machines were awesome, espcially the motorcycles and the giant robot. I kind of missed Arnold but Sam Worthington was a very "hot" replacement. Of course Christiona Bale did a wonderful job as well...he is a great actor. I liked everyone in the movie. I was a little disappointed with the ending as it seemed to stop a little abruptly but overall I had a great time watching this movie.

McG. What a terrible disappoint as a director. The performances were wooden, story lacking and the direction was 1st year movie school material. This guy should stick to commercials.
This was a waste of my money. I would watch it, but only on the sat dish. Save your money and see something else.

This is a suprisingly good movie. I didn't really want to see it but ended up enjoing it when I did. Definetly worth watching.

I thought the story was a good new twist to these series of movies, but I felt something was lacking just a little bit. I wonder if maybe they made it a bit edgier and gave it an 'R' rating if that would've done it for me, but I'm not sure. One thing I didn't like as much was all of the battling, which was 'war movie' reminiscent. So far my favorite is still Terminator 2. I did not enjoy Christian Bale's performance at all, but I loved Sam Worthington's charm. I can't wait to see him in “Clash of the Titans”. Unless you are a big in-theater person and a fan of Terminator, I'd wait for the DVD. You'll be entertained, but you will feel like you could've waited for the DVD.
