I would recommend Terminator Salvation even though the ending is quite weak. There are "surprises" that sort of peter out ineffectively. John Connor's character is far less interesting then Marcus. Sam Worthington really seems like the star. They should of invested the same ingenuity into Connor's character as Marcus'. Anton is nothing like Michael Biehn & a distracting Kyle Reese. Go see it for some amazing special effects.

Although it was poorly reviewed, if you are expecting a mindless action flick, this movie delivers brilliantly. Yes, there was some wierd psudo-moralizing and flat attempts at romance that literally drew laughter from the audience, but if you can ignore this, and the incredibly rediculous ending, you are sure to have a good time.

the movie showed the beginning of the robotic creation and the unwilling bond between man and machine since john connor could not survive with out, even though most robotics were out to kill him. arnold (protecter in 2 and 3 and now marcus) who will it be in 5 and 6 of the t series,guess we will just have to wait.it was good to see john and father meet up for the first time in the series and maybe the next movie we'll see where john sends father to the past .i would recommend this movie because it does show a lot of action and there is a lot more of the fighting machines

Excellent movie - takes you on a roller coaster ride and never lets up. All of the actors (especially Christian Bale, Sam Worthington, and Moon Bloodgood) are first-rate, and the story is easy enough to follow. Stays relatively true to the Terminator mythology and includes a lot of subtle (and some not so subtle) nods to the other 3 films and also the TV series. It was a bit like Transformers in a few spots but that's not a bad thing in my book. Go see it and you won't be disappointed.

Thought this was a great addition to the Terminator franchise. Sam Worthington's character, Marcus, was much more interesting and well done that Bale's rendition of Conner. I don't understand why they had to kill off Marcus. He would have been an interesting element in future movies.

This movie is an excellent start to the summer blockbuster season! The action is so fast paced it's almost hard to keep up. If you're a fan of killer special effects, you will really enjoy this! I was overcome with embarrassment for all involved in the making of this awful movie. There was virtually nothing original and hundreds of things they just ripped off from other movies. You could sit there and name them one after the other like Roadwarrior and Cloverfield especially and oddly Apocalypse now. At first you might be drawn in by the dark rainy or dry dystopic scenes but soon enough you realize they ripped them directly from Minority Report, Bladerunner, and Pitch Black. Even if you are not bothered by their blatent stealing you will be bothered by the shallow insipid plot, video game tie-ins and halitosic one-liner turds. Oh and John Conner happens to say "I'll be back" <cringe>.

I went into this movie with high hopes, just the fact that the movie had Christian Bale in it was reason enough. Needless to say I was very disappointed. The acting, at times, was corny. The effects sometimes looked as if they were standing in front of a green screen and I am not quite sure the plot was the greatest. I have now put my hopes for the summer blockbuster in the hands of Transformers and Public Enemies.

Stunning special effects the and an interesting story line twist. The writing clearly came second to explosions and crazy good looking machine scenes. After a mediocre third entry this latest sequel in the Terminator series is a refreshing change of pace. The emphasis is mostly on action as the human drama takes a back seat to the spectacle this time out, but the eye candy is amazing and the action is thrilling. My favorite bit involved an aerial combat sequence between a jet plane and a Terminator ship (the flying Hunter-Killer's seen briefly in the first two films). TERMINATOR SALVATION could have used some additional time on character development but the cast does well with what little material they have to work with. It may not be a classic but it's a fun ride to the very end.

Good story, acting, and action. They tried to fit too much in, in too little time in my opinion. They should've made movie longer, or focused on just a few key items and this movie would've ruled all the Terminator flicks. A lot more suffering and torture of the humans at skynet would've made you hate the machines more and would've added some drama to the flick. Perhaps the director's cut DVD will have it all. Still worth seeing.

Great storyline, Christian Bale played the role of Connor dark and the twist with the Marcus infiltrator kept you guessing. Loved the Cameo (don't want to spoil the surprise), and the underlying theme of fate and what makes us human. While suspenseful, it had less obvious gratiutous blood & violence. Highly recommend!

I really enjoyed this movie. After drinking so much soda, I had to use the restroom in the beginning, but I stayed in my chair the entire movie because I couldn't bear to miss one minute of it !! It kept me in my seat.

Overall the movie was great. I dont see how people are saying there isn't movie tie ins , thered quite a few. Its a good chapter in the terminator series which i hope it does well at the box office so we will get a sequel. People shouldn't compare this one with the other terminator films b/c its completely different, This future is way before any events happened in the first 3 films. The action is excellent, special effects are amazing. I would rate it about a 8.5/10. After watching it, im really excited about the new future installments. You will see what i mean 3/4 in the movie! cant wait for the sequel. Overall, Great action movie, terminator fans will enjoy it for sure. It def. setting up for some big things in the next movie

Not the best of the 4 terminators, but definitely better than T3. I think it has a great deal of action and the best part is the final fight with a Terminator. I think Christian Bale is a better John Conner than the one in T3 also but I think that he wasn't great with this role. I also believe that T4 lacks an intriguing story. Overall, it is a movie to watch but not necessarily during opening weekend.
