This was typical Tim Burton - a great story for both children and adults to share twisted into a shocking visual experience. I would NEVER let my children see this until they were at least 15. The ending killing of the Jabberwacky was pointless gore that seemed to go on forever. I did LOVE the visuals of the Cheshire Cat. The diversion from the original story was unnecessary and added nothing to the story. The copycat (from Wizard of Oz) use of the characters in the dream from the real life segments was so poorly done that it was a waste of time in the movie. I think the best things about seeing this movie was it took up less than 2 hours of my life but my Mom and I did enjoy the time at dinner afterwards!
I have no idea why I thought I would enjoy this movie when I hated "Nightmare Before Christmas" and did not waste my time on "Coraline". I guess I just don't appreciate Tim Burton's dark humor and twisted chop on good storied when he puts them to film.

I thought this was an interesting twist to a classic story. It will make absolutely no sense to you if all you know is the Disney cartoon version...as there are several literary references that were not in the original Disney movie. I thought it was creative, and Tim Burton is the perfect match for a story so fantastical. I did think the fudderwacking at the end was unnecessary...kind of a cheesy thing thrown in to entertain the little ones...but it did amuse my 4 year old, so I guess it worked!

I went with 9 other people and they all loved it. We were told not to take all our children to the movie because it was to dark, this was far from the truth, it was fun and EVERYONE including the little ones liked the movie so dont listen to others, just go see it for yourself.

We really enjoyed this movie. I'm not always a fan of Tim Burton but I was pleasantly surprised with Alice in Wonderland. It was great! My two girls loved it! Johnny Depp was awesome! The symbolism of each character: amazing! We had a great time. Would recommend to anyone!

Movie did not reach up to its height. Story line all over the place. It just did not feel like a well rounded movie. If you feel the need to still watch this movie watch it on the regular screens. Do not watch it on Imax or 3-D its so not worth it. There were hardly anything 3-D in the movie. So upsetting. Almost fell asleep half way through. Depp did not pull his best act either. He was barely trying. Only good things are the music and a few of the effects. Overall grade= D-

Yes. The movie alters the Alice story a bit. Yes. Tim Burton makes it a little dark. Yes. You and your kids (ours are 6 and 8) will love this movie. As in Carroll's original stories, Alice is on a journey of self-discovery. It is quite believable and maybe sometimes predictable. The acting is mostly great. The graphics are fantastic. While different, Burton has really captured the brilliant madness that is Lewis Carroll. Be careful - you may learn a little something or get inspired to greatness.

This movie definitely is not for little kids...the beheadings would probably be a bit much. There is a small mouse obsessed with stabbing villians in the eyeball and keeping them as souvenirs. Alice has to step on the body-less heads (her foot lands in one's mouth and gets slimed) in the red moat to get across to the red queens castle. The ending is nicely done, but most of the movie you can actually envision them doing updates to the haunted mansion to incorporate this movie. One note, we didn't see it in 3-d and maybe that may have enhanced our experience.

We loved this movie! It was funny, it made me cry, there was action, it was beautiful, and we loved it. The music was great, the actors did a wonderful job, and it was witty and fun. Johnny Depp is my favorite actor, so that didn't hurt, but his portrayal of the Mad Hatter was brilliant. I can't wait to see it again and I think everyone should see it!

This was wonderful. Johnny Depp's performance was once again awesome. The kids were glued to the screen. The costumes, the good against evil, every bit was entertaining. First; If you are the loving dad of a daughter, of any age, this is a Must See, Command Performance for you and her; Second; If you are the hopeful dad of a son, and would like to up the odds of him becoming a man, and you becoming a father in law of a capable woman, and a reliable daughter in law; Again, A Must see... I didn't realize the movie was going to be a continuation of the original and I may not have seen it if I knew that to begin with, However, I am glad I did see it because the movie was fan-freakin-tastic! Johnny Depp was amazing, you can't getter a better actor to play a weird character. Tim Burton did an amazing job! The movie did not have allot of 3-d effects so I don't think it was worth paying the additional fee for 3-d but certainly worth paying full regular price!

I enjoyed the visual aspect of this film, however the storyline is weak and the beauty on the screen wasn't enough to hold my interest throughout the entire film. Alice in Wonderland's saving grace is Helena Bonham Carter's performance.
All in all, this wasn't a bad movie, but I have no intentions of watching it again.

I like what Tim Burton did with this movie. It might be a little scary for the young kids (it is a Disney Produciton after-all), but Burton pushes the envelope once again. I would like to see if Alice comes back a third time to Wonderland and what adventures that holds for our herion.

I was amazed at the cinematography, Wonderland was visually amazing. I was in awe while I sat there with my 4y.o, (who surprisingly sat there in peace and watched) as the movie unfolded. I really like the fact that this was not a re-make of the original Alice in Wonderland Disney cartoon. It was the next step and it stretched the imagination above and beyond. I recommend this movie, maybe not to everyone, but to those who have a vivid imagination, hunger for adventure and of course grew up loving Alice in Wonderland.

"Alice in wonderland" exceeded my expectation. I thought the movie would frighten my two little ones, but it absolutely did not. My sons enjoyed the movie , especially my 4 year old who usually wants to leave half way through a movie. The movie had his full attention. Overall,I give Alice in wonderland an A+, and that's unusual from me because I usually fall asleep half way through a movie. Go see it!
