My wife and I both thought this movie was a waste of time. We saw it in 2D but it was clearly oriented toward the 3D. So, it was amovie that couldn't stand on its own and was clearly claiming for popularity based on technology. The movie plot line was way off base with regard to the book --- they didn't even get the age of Alice right, just to build up a very silly scenario that was unnecessary. Depp was nowhere near as good as he can be.

I went with my 12 yr old grandson and my 8 yr old grand daughter and we all really enjoyed it. It was very pretty and even though you know the story it kept your interest.

A visually stunning movie. The wardrobe alone was breathtaking. The set and props were amazing. And the plot, in my opinion, was lovely. I understand this movie is a sort of continuation to the original film. In other words, what happens after Alice grows up. I thought it well written and kept my attention throughout the movie. I did only see the 2D version. I can only imagine how lovely this film must look in 3D! Tim Burton does it again.

I went with a friend and a pre-teen who picked the movie. I saw it in digital 3D, which was good, although not as impressive as avatar imax 3D. On the positive side, I never understood the meaning of the bizarre story down the rabbit hole before, and now, seeing the background they show you at the beginning, I understood it. Also good acting. On neg side, it was too dark and depressing at times. Good movie, not my favorite.

Since I saw the movie in 2D my experience may not have been as memorable as others'. To me the movie was good, but it wasn't as entertaining as some have written. Once the plot was set up there was 45 minutes or so before the climax, and during that time the movie dragged for me. That said, I appreciated the creativity, and the message. So, if you are an adult, and are not bringing children, you may be able to find a more entertaining choice.

this movie is a another original classic remake from tim burton. i loved it in 3D. it had a little dark twist that may be too intense for the little ones that is not from the original but overall its worth you watch!!!!

I had very high expectations for this film. The plot felt incomplete, it just could've been better. The cast did a great job, I would say that the best acting came from Helena Bonham Carter. Depp's character felt like it was missing something. Even without the 3D experience, this film still goes to another level when it comes to cinematography. Overall, the movie is a great experience and a great vision. Recommended!

Once again, Johnny Depp takes charge of an interesting role and does a wonderful job. The only bad thing I have to say about the movie was after the Jabberwocky was defeated, the dance done by the Mad Hatter was... out of place and not needed. Should have been left on the cutting room floor. Otherwise it was a wonderful movie that I would go see again if I had the chance.

Of course I recommend seeing the movie, just for the art of it, but Burton was way off base. Lewis Carroll wrote this about Alice, not about the Queen of Hearts and her droll sister "What's 'er Queen". Johnny Depp's talents were TOTALLY wasted. The entire movie was an editing mishap. I almost fell asleep approximately 10-15 minutes before the movie ended, yet I was still intrigued enough to sit through the entire movie, for comparison sake.

I thought it was a wonderful new story extending one of my favorite disney movies. Johnny Depp is great as the mad hatter, and Helena Bonham Carter as the red queen was genius. Tim Burton has an amazing way of taking something that is pretty straight foward and making it something remarkable. The story line for this movie was great and I liked how he through elements from the original into this one. It made the movie what it was. Though I really enjoyed this movie, I've heard other people didn't like it at all. In my opinion its one of those movies that either you will love or hate. You just have to go see it for yourself.

I loved it! Others have tried to create Alice in a "humanized" context. Wonderland though is about imagination, being slightly off center and being like a dream. I think Tim Burton nailed it. The graphics and characterizations are outstanding. Johnny Depp once again shows his ability to portray a character like no other actor can. When you go to the movie, ask your self this question, "Have I gone around the bend?" If you answer, "Yes, but the best people are." Then you will have a most enjoyable time.

The movie is the major dose of eye candy. It is creative. The story line is basic. But it does give you a little moral to the story to walk away with. The creativity is top notch.

I took my 9 year old to see this movie, expecting more action I was disappointed. Though my daughter loved the movie. I think the commercials were the best part. Not a movie that I would see more than once.

This movie started slow and eventually got going but as I have found with Tim Burton he spends slot of time on the fluff and never really seems to draw you in. Same as The Nightmare and Coraline you kept waiting to forget you are in the theater and escape to Wonderland. The commercials eluded to much more escapism than I experienced. The cat was awesome and overall still a must see at the theater because of the time spent on the graphics.
