I'm a huge Tim Burton fan, so as you can imagine I could not WAIT to see this movie. I was sorely disappointed. Alice in Wonderland is supposed to be weird and twisted and not make any sense. It’s supposed to be a dream, It resembled an action fantasy movie. all I could think of the whole movie was the Chronicles of Narnia and Harry Potter. Alice in Wonderland IS NOTHING LIKE EITHER OF THOSE! Tim Burton should have been the perfect man to see that and exemplify it. He failed Visually, it was wonderful and i give him props. It was beautiful, I didn't see it in 3D, but it didn't even matter, it was a wonder to watch. But really, the story of Alice In Wonderland is awesome, it didn't need to be changed. Nice try though.

I loved it. I feel it was perfectly cast. This movie needs to win an oscar for makeup and set design! From the moment she goes down the hole, I was transported to my childhood. I was completely captivated by the whole world! The only thing that I thought was a lil overexaggerated was the White Queen's character. She got a little annoying after a while.

I agree that the effects made most of the movie. But i think that is part of Burton's specialty. It was an exciting and heroic venture, of the grown up Alice. I do wish Burton would have spent a little more time developing the characters. They were so animated but the explanation of why underland was taken over was just a bunch of fire and sadness not an explanation or back story at all. And although it was a Disney movie i feel It should have been PG-13. Parental support or not decapitation, and beastly violence could give little ones nightmares.

Loved it! i already knew that it was going to be about alice coming back to wonderland and all so i knew that it wouldn't be exactly like the original cartoon. but i was happy that they still included some things like the tea party, the croquet with the flamingo and hedge hog, and alice following the white rabbit in the beginning. it was a nice touch. and then i really liked how they included carroll's poem Jabberwocky. one of my favorites and a very happy addition to the movie. the actors were phenomenal. helena did a great job at the queen of hearts, anne as the white queen, alan rickman as the blue caterpillar, and of course johnny depp as the mad hatter. he stole the show for me. so over all i loved it and am anxious to see it again.

Not a bad movie, yet certainly not good. The acting was decent but not memorable. The visuals were inviting most the time but the environment was half baked. There is so much more that could of been done with an Alice in Wonderland live action movie. Basically what Tim Burton did was make a movie and slapped the famous Disney movie title on to it. Shhh! Do you hear that? It's Walt Disney rolling over in his grave. Overall, the only people who will give this movie praise are the die hard Disney fans in which whose eyes, the company can do no wrong. This movie is a key example of Hollywood's philosophy that you can replace plot and character development with visual effects. This movie is simply forgettable.

Alice in Wonderland is one of my favorite books and I love Tim Burton as a director. I thought that the pairing was fantastic. I do wish, however, that they would have taken an extra 20 minutes developing the story and fleshing out the characters. The actors seemed to be taken over by their costuming and CGI. Helena Bonham Carter was brilliant; Johnny Depp totally let his costume do the work and phoned it in.

The movie was good, at first I was just a little bored, and towards the center it began to progress better. My son and I went to the midnight showing. It was more than worth it to lose sleep. Alice and Wonderland was , and Is a totally awesome movie that you will enjoy. This movie is something like Tim Burton's The Corpse Bride in so many ways. When individuals went to see it, they expected Nightmare Before Christmas, but alas, it had very different qualities. I, myself, predicted the storyline before I went to see it and I admit that I was disappointed. However, it warrants a second go because the next time I saw it I knew what to expect and loved it. I admire Tim Burton for taking on such a daring task. There were alot of die-hard Alice In Wonderlad fans just waiting for a delicious live-action depiction to pop up. It had alot to live up to and I believe he did a great job, even though he went off the actual story line. Warning: This is definitely not a film for easily-scared kids. Especially in 3D!
