I thoroughly enjoyed The Family that Preys. The storyline was cleverly scripted and captured the attention of the viewer. Friendship, family and marital relationships were exposed in ways that provoked viewers to respond verbally, in laughter, thoughts of concern, and with anticipation for the next scene to unfold. It was refreshing to see unstable marital relationships balanced by healthy ones and a friendship evolve out of likenesses and circumstance opposed to one having been the "maid" of the other. Tyler Perry is demonstrating that he is not limited by one genre and this movie, by far, is his best.

My husband and I went to see the movie and thought it was a wonderful movie. I enjoyed the storyline and the cast he put together was exceptional. He picked the right actors for the parts. Excellent movie. I went to see this movie with an open mind - no expectations. While others may feel that it was predictable, I found evey scene to be anticipatory. Tyler Perry is a great screenwriter. The professional movie critics may not want to give this man his just due, but Mr. Perry continues to have a loyal fan base from what I can tell. This movie had some diversity and a story line which is more believable than many of us would want to admit to. While Chris may have seemed gullible, there are men out there that are trusting and work hard to make a decent living for their families. Ladies, there many of us who do take advantage of these good men, and like with Chris - they know when enough is enough. Tyler Perry, you done good!

This movie takes Tyler Perry's work to a whole other level, seriously!!! It has great acting and a very intriguing plot. While watching the movie I had to use the restroom but I just could leave. Every time I was about to get up another twist in the plot was revealed and I just had to hold it until the movie was over. And the history between Alfre Woodard and Kathy Bates characters was magnificent. I also liked how Tyler flipped the script with the role reversal of the husband and wife characters played by Sanaa Lathan and Rockmond Dunbar. Overall this was a great movie and a must see!!

I saw this movie with my 20 year old son and it was a great movie. We both enjoyed this movie. Yes we are T.P. true fans but we enjoyed the host of actors. They were great. I thought this was one of his best movies yet, and I was glad to see some deviation from his usual themes, by introducing a lot more drama and juiciness to his characters and storyline. Slightly predicatble, but not so much that it spoiled the movie. ANd casting!! Alfre, Sanna, Taraji and KATHY BATES! Awesome, and I was was very glad to see my girl Robin Givens back on the scene looking good and with attitude to spare. Everyone played their role very well, even dum Chris, I know his character was written as such but did he really have to be so darn naive!? That was my only problem with the film. Great movie, and best part for me, I met a nice man and future movie going partner, we'll see how that works out!!! Go Tyler!!

I am a big fan of T.P's movies. Even though it was predictable it was very good. Though it was serious Tyler Perry made sure he kept it funny at the same time. I highly recommend it!
