I thought this movie was so great showing how you never really know others and howand why they are in certain situations. Scriptually it shows how the first shall be last and the last first. Like the man who had lost hope and was living in the streets and he was helping the restaurant owner become a millionaire. And the construction workers who became owners. It was just very inspirational and encouraging.

Cookie cutter movie. You seen one, you've seen them all. I didn't see anything unexpected. I know there are other African Americans in Hollywood other than the recycled ones that are in most of his movies. If he can't find any, call me, I am one. The opening wedding scene made absolutely no sense. If you are going to show the preparation, then show some of the wedding. We could have just assumed Kathy Bates paid for the movie, if the storyline was broader. Tyler, please stop trying to play a romantic role, you are not the type. Be in the movie if you must, but no one wants to see you kiss the girl with that mopped-afro wig on. Good looking out though.

The movie was great, it shows manipulation by women that controls corporations, it shows the devious scheming in their character at the same time with mix feelings of romance and trying to preserving the family which is in turmoil. The ending could have been more forth coming as to the outcome of the main characters. but it is great.

This must see movie is a breakthrough for Tyler Perry. We are presented with real people facing problems that, even if we aren't experiencing them, we can at least imagine them. The relationship between Alice and Charlotte is a beauty to behold. Coming from totally opposite sides of the track, they built a lifelong relationship on their mutual admiration of each other's strength and compassion. If there is any flaw in this film, it is the lack of background for some of the characters. What happened with Alice's husband? What led to Nick's firing? Way to go Tyler! We hope to see more of your serious side - even though a dose of Madea can make for a fun Saturday night.

All of Tyler's movies are good and always have a story to tell but this one was excellent. He stretched his imagination and produced and awesome movie. Some of the actors "Latham" for example were able to show that they can do versitle rolls and not always been the good guy. God Bless you Mr. Perry for making such a great film.....again!

I actually laughed out loud, which is not common for me but it happens often with Tyler Perry films. It has some "feel good" moments, makes you ponder about your own life and has a predictable but welcomed ending. Tyler Perry is extremely gifted and blessed. He is a strong force.

Tyler Perry wrote this? Wow! It was so different and good to see he can write positive roles for all Races. It was beautiful. Kathie Bates was the key to the entire movie, but Sanna or what ever her name is...charactor was typecast. Alfre was as great as ever and Rockmond, played a part that just seemed so different. I call this a sleeper movie because Perry's films usually appeal only to a certain type of audience. Not so this time! The cast is superb with talent from many areas. The theme is a universal one "you get what you pay for" or "do unto others..." What's consistently great about Perry's films is that his Christian values are never overshadowed by a comedic or dramatic plot. Another great job!

Even though this movie had a some very funny lines, it is definitely not a "comedy". It is a story of life, and learning from the ups and downs involved in it. The main complaint I have seen in the reviews is that it is "predictable". If so, what is wrong with that? It's nice to see a movie where good things happen to good people once in a while. Well done! Very touching.

I'm not usually a Tyler Perry fan, but something about the commercials I saw for this movie really intrigued me. I'm glad that I went to see it. The actors did an amazing job and the storyline was very interesting. It was really odd seeing Sanaa Latham play the role of the "witch" though. But I have to say, she did an excellent job.

This movie was more dramatic than the previous movies I have seen by Tyler Perry. It actually had a soap opera feel with an underlying moral tying everything together. It was worth seeing Kathy Bates and Robin Givens (where have they been??!!!) - BTW, they worked very well together. This movie is definitely a must see!!!

This was an excellent movie as with all of the works by Tyler Perry. Great cast of actors to play these roles. The movie had a realistic storyline and flowed. Although this was not one of his typical movies, I would say he crossed over into mainstream just fine. Great Job Tyler.

I ended up seeing this movie on the second weekend rather than the 1st because my girlfriends wanted to see Women. However, we all agreed that Tyler Perry's movie was much more interesting and exciting. I love that all his movies seem to have a message as well as being realistic to life and having a story behind it. I just love his movies and hate the fact that people make reference to his having mostly black cast when most other movies have the opposite and no mention to race is made there. So in all, it was a great movie, I have nothing negative to say and I can't wait till the next one!

Tyler Perry continues to prove that he deserves to "run with the BIG DOGS" His ability to tell a story and teach life lessons on stage and on the screen is unique. fresh and transends race, gender and age. See this one at the theater and add it to your collection at home; you will want to see this one again and again!!
