I loved this film. It depicts a friendship and storyline leaving the racial aspects unspoken but clear. The script was great, the actors were even greater and it was just a great experience. It was no surprise that Kathy Bates and Alfre Woodard were great. Cole got his chance to shine, Sanaa was outstanding; Robin was fierce in her role; Tarajii brought it home; Rockmond really pulled it off wonderfully and what can I say about Tyler? He was perfect. What a wonderful story. I sincerely hope and trust that this film will win some of the industry's most prestigious awards. That means Oscar and the rest! Great job Tyler and cast!

To say that I am a Tyler Perry fan is an understatement! I've seen all of his stage plays and movies. Therefore, I went to the movie expecting it to be good. This movie surpassed my expectations ten-fold! The Family That Preys was his best theatrical production to date! The movie has a phenomenal cast, great character and story development, and many memorable moments. I am so happy to see T.P. doing films with new actors and a more intense plot. This movie was funny, sad, thought provoking, and suspenseful. This movie stepped outside the usual formula of a typical Tyler Perry movie. There was drama and less over the top comedy. There were still quite a bit of laughs. I slept to the point of snoring the first 30 minutes. I usually like Tylers movies but this was a bit slow in the beginnning. AS usual Kathy Bates and Alfre Woodard give stellar perfomances. So far I'm a fan of all his movies (except: Meet The Browns). I can't wait to see his next production. FYI: Sanaa Lathan was one bad,bad girl, she played her role extremely well.

This was an excellent movie. I actually saw it twice. It was good to see Robin Givens play a different role beside a gold digger. Sanaa played a good role as well. Everyone in the movie was wonderful.

Tyler never ceases to amaze me. However, I join with others in saying that this movie was his best by far. The story line was phenomenal and I would even consider watching this movie again. If you haven't seen it yet, go and get your tickets NOW!!!!!
