This was a good movie. It was very entertaining. It was Tyler Perry typical. I have a hard time with Tyler Perry playing the part as a straight man however. I would recommend ths movie to all of my friends. If you are looking for a movie with audience comments, participation and outbursts this is the one for you. Would have been nice to actually hear some of the movie, since I did pay $15.00 for a Director's Hall seat!

To me, this was Tyler Perry's greatest work! He went back to creating a great movie that outdid his first two (which were good movies also). I was kind of disappointed in "Why Did I Get Married" and "Meet the Browns", but he has redeemed himself in this one! The actors and actresses in this movie were all seasoned performers and played their roles. Sanaa Lathan you will love and hate her role, but it was so real. I was also happy to see the return of Robin Givens in a very positive role and she did an outstanding job. Alfre Woodard- no matter what role she plays--she makes it her own. Even Tyler Perry role, although toned down for this movie, he showed is versitility in playing a different role than we expected...great job!

This movie was unbelievably impressive! It told a tale of family dynamics and the importance of being good to people. Robin Givens was on point in this movie - an excellent role-model for women. Ultimately, a naive, bitter, silly, but educated black woman betrays her husband for the affections and attention of a greedy, ungrateful and equally silly white man. They both get burned in the end. There are several strong, intelligent and powerful black women in the movie, though to make up for Sanaa Lathan's character being an idiot. This is some of Tyler Perry's best work. There are so many different life elements represented in this film through the different relationships the characters shared. There are lessons that young ladies can learn from this one, just as in all of Tyler Perry's movies. Fathers should definitely take their daughters to see this one.

This was GREAT! Tyler out did himself with this one. He selected the perfect actors to play each part. I was sad at the end when Kathy Bates took her life though. I guess she just could not take loosing it. It did get me when Rockmond took Sanaa's money out of her acct after she made it clear that she did not support his get rich schemes. But when he slapped the heck out of her, it made the whole theatre clap.

Perry's movie, The Family that Preys, is the best movie that I have seen in many years. About 10 of my coworkers and I went together and the theater staff had to run us out afterwards because we wanted to sit and talk about Perry's movie. Honestly, I was a little disappointed with this one. I could see exactly where everything was going from the beginning, the characters were a little too stereotypical, and the movie seemed to lack some of the heart of his earlier works. Even so, even Tyler Perry's weakest efforts are better than 95% of the stuff that Hollywood puts out there. Definitely worth seeing, but don't expect a masterwork. Just expect to be entertained and to see both actors and a movie that you will enjoy.

This is my favorite Tyler Perry movie to date. The cast was fantastic and I absolutely LOVED it. Robin Givens' character was my favorite, and I admired everything she stood for. Outstanding movie!!!
