And what is wrong with that. I saw this with my older brother and his eight year old son, and we all loved it. Those who love Star Wars, will love this movie. It is clever and funny with all the action and cool battle scenes that have made Star Wars fun. Swallow your adult pride and enjoy the child like wonder of going to see an animated Star Wars film in the theater. The only people who won't enjoy this film are the overly critical types and the only criticism they will find is that it is animated instead of being a live action film which actually works in the films favor. I am going to see it at least twice more in the theater.

"The Clone Wars" is a lavish animation with beautiful visuals and sound. The story follows Anakin and his Padawan, a young female protege he calls "Snips", as they are sent on a mission to rescue the son of Jabba the Hutt, taken hostage by agents of the Sith. The film moves along very quickly, as Star Wars films do, and is filled with exciting action. However, the storyline never quite engaged me. The film is aimed at pre-teens and young teens, so the dialogue is filled with quips and snappy come-backs. "The Clone Wars" doesn't come close to the other films in terms of story, or characterization.

I enjoyed this movie more than i thought i would. For once the Computer animation Lucasfilm is known for fit better without live actors. The storyline kept my attention, and expanded some on the whole Clone Wars time line. I felt some things could have been expanded on a little more, but overall i was throughly entertained.

After seeing the movie I can say that it was a good approach of "fusing" the 2-dimensional Clone Wars world with the 3-dimensional Star Wars Movies world. Although a little to slow in some small areas at the beginning, it grabs your attention. I think it was a good effort to reach the new generation into the Star Wars universe by providing a youngster/teenager as one of the main characters. I really liked the way that they gave each Jedi their "own fighting style", thus augmenting the character's personality. The fighting scenes where very good. Definitively is a good movie for the whole family to see.

The good: - Amazing animation technique. - Lots of action. - Good music. - Perfect start for the upcoming tv series (you need to have this in mind when you see the movie). Good for kids. Bad for adults. The movie was more of a side adventure than a movie about the 'Clone Wars'. It should have been named Star Wars: Jedi Adventures – that would have been more appropriate. I’m not sure which was worse: The dialogue or it’s delivery. And what's up with all the nicknames?! Sky-Guy, R-2ewy and Odd-Ball (the Storm Trooper)?! Yuck. Regardless, the girl character should have died in the end. Mainly cuz it was never mentioned or ever alluded that Anakin had an apprentice, but he did in this movie, so her death would have made a justifiable addition to his angst, fear and subsequent turn to the dark side.
Blindsided by, but best character: Zero I smell a Saturday cartoon series.

Movie was entertaining, but not very good at being an animated version of a continuing story. The war didn't start in the original until movie number 3, but Skywalker was never at peace with Jedi's, but in this movie they are. Guess I expected it to be more in line with the others. Ignore the critics, who have standards so high it's amazing any film ever does well. "The Clone Wars" doesn't deserve this level of elitist snobbery. The animation is unique and well-rendered. The plot is straightforward, which allowed the story and the action to blend together well, rather than competing with one another. All the voice actors brought their characters to life, a feat not easily accomplished. The music coordinated perfectly with the sequences in the film. What's not to love? As for the critics: ignore them, you must--for they will only lead you to the dark side...

My wife and son went to see this movie with me. I didn't hear a word from them the whole time. Which means they as well as myself quite enjoyed it. My son is 6 years old and I did not see or hear anything inappropriate for him. This is a great thing given many movies today which contains far to much of that. It's quite refreshing to see that movies can still be made entertaining for the whole family no matter what the ages. We found it exciting from the beginning to the end.

The movie had a lot of fun, fast paced action and that was very enjoyable. The characters act a bit like bratty teens at times and that's why I believe it's geared more to the 9-14 year old crowd. Overall I think it's worth watching, but if you are an older Star Wars fan wait for the DVD.

Despite bad critics, the movie is great for kids. My 7-year old and his 8-year old friend were conquered! The familiar characters are there plus the young "girl-Padawan" who introduces some additional fun. Action packed and a good old story. Animation OK though I think a better job could be achievable with modern technology: characters seem a bit stiff.

Lucas'used universe carries over well in this feature.The ships,armor and droids all look like they haven't seen the bristly side of a scrubber in over 12 parsecs.Great character developement.Ashoka is an apt yet resistant pupil, so you can see shades of Anakin in her.This is a kid's movie,albeit a bit dark.In one scene a trooper is forced into hand-to-hand combat with a super battle droid.The fight ends in the clone being snuffed out by a point-blank blaster bolt to the chest while being restrained.As if a reminder of the WAR in Star Wars.4 stars because it could use less 'cuteness' and still appeal to kids.If you accept this movie for what it is, Star Wars fun for the grade school set, you'll like it.I enjoyed it and so did my 5 year old!

I grew up seeing the Original Trilogy in the theaters and because of that I am biased. I do have to say that overall it was ALOT better than I had expected and I thought that the animation was great...Probably the best part of the movie. I do think that this is a great way to let today's smaller children get more of an introduction to the Star Wars story. My 6 year old son has seen all but one of the six movies (I think he is a little small for Revenge of the Sith) so to him this was great. Would like to see more and would love it if they could get the original actor's for the voices.

This was a really good movie for kids of all ages. My 6 year old son and my 10 year old son loved the movie. I too must say I really enjoyed the movie. It seemed to pick up where Star Wars left off. This movie was action packed from the opening scene untill the final moment of the movie. My only criticisim would be that the movie was to short. At Just more then 89 minutes I felt they could have added a little more to the movie, for lets face it, with movie tickets going at over $10 a person I want to feel like I got my moneys worth and it is hard to feel that way when you watch a short movie. Other then that, this was a great movie for everyone to see... HIGHLY RECOMENDED.

I loved it! I grew up with Star Wars and this is the movie I've been waiting for...Light Saber fights, Space and Ground Battles galore. The characters were believable and the animation was superb. My only gripe is that I went to the late showing on Sunday of opening weekend and there were only 4 of us in the theater. I can't wait to see it again.

This movie was made for kids to fall in love with Anakin's back talking apprentice. They'll fawn all over the cute little snotty hutlet. As soon as you leave, they'll be begging you to take them to the toy store so they can spend some of your hard earned cash on yet another useless toy. Overall, the movie wasn't bad but lacked substance. I was entertained, but it didn't give me what I was looking for.

Really nice and great CG movie for us Star Wars Fans. let me tell you that everytime I see or talk about SW movies coming out I get really excited and hoping the release date gets closer in an snap ! Star wars is an american tradition already lol sounds weird but it is right. who does not like or know about star wars? everyone knows the characters and the fun and special effects that amaze us when watching those movies. I went to see the movie with mi 9 yr old son he loved it. will love to see the next sequel (if there will be an other one ,of course) to know what happen with SNIPPS and Anakin.

I took my daughters to see this and we all had a great time! This is a fun movie even if you are not a Star Wars fan. The battle droids had the funniest lines, and the interaction between "Sky-guy" and "snips" was very enjoyable. We saw this on Friday, and my 9 year old daughter has had all her Star Wars figures and vehicles out since then. This movie reminded her how much fun the Star Wars universe (in all it's incarnations) is. We even went to the library so she could check out a lot of Star Wars expanded universe books. All the kids in the theater loved it, and the only complaints I heard were from "adults" that looked and sounded like "Comic Book Guy" from the Simpsons.

I am a huge fan of the series. I took my 7 year old and he said it was really funny and cool. Animation was good but the Padawan character and the comic dialog was very reminiscent of an extended saturday morning cartoon. Disappointing and mildly entertaining for me. I can't help feeling if this is the future of the movies then original fans who have been entertained now for 30 years, have outgrown it, which I never thought would happen.

There were no major conflicts with previous or future story lines and the characters were well-rounded. I thoughtt that Skywalker was a bit more mature and likable in this installment than could be easily believed, considering his demeanor in the next installment already out. Obiwan was also portrayed as a little bit older than the story timeline might suggest him to be at this point , as well. I am a tremendous fan of animation of all types and in this aspect the film did not disappoint. The characters and backgrounds were beautifully rendered and moved in a believable manner. Overall , very much fun.
