I went to see the movie with my 7 and 9 year old sons. I knew it wasn't going to be a "blockbuster" like the other Star Wars movies, but that it would be right up the alley for my children. The animation was great.(My 7 yr. old later said, "They were the best actors ever!") It was exciting for the younger audience and there was no blood. Of course there was a lot of violence but that was to be expected from a Star Wars movie. As a parent, I'm glad for the opportunity to attend a "toned down" version of a movie franchise that my children love but are too young to watch all of the movies from. I thank George Lucas for giving us this offering and allowing me the opportunity to share this fun movie with my light saber wielding children.

My little one was sooooo very excited to see this move. He is a huge fan of General Grievous and one of the main draws for him was the commercials touting "more Grievous!" All he has been going on about is how there was no GG in the movie. He thought it was o.k otherwise. But this is definitely like a 'promo' for the show coming on Cartoon Network and is a bit of a rip off.

I can't believe George Lucas would put his name on this. If he's smart he will say that he just put his name on it and had nothing to do with the production. The story was flimsy, the characters were nominal at best, the animation was pretty good. The queer hutt was just too much as was the baby hutt. My 3 year old was more entertained by the light coming from the backof the theater. My 4 year old just adores Star Wars, so he liked it. Me, I am 39 and I klove the Star Wars franchise. If you decide to do another animated movie, or ANY movie, take more time for content rather than throwing some random product out to make a buck!

We have been looking forward to this one, and my kids have counted the days to opening night. If you have children who like Star Wars, they will enjoy the movie. As an adult, I was disappointed. The animation was great, and the storyline was interesting, but the acting and voices were a little corny. Overall, an OK movie, but not up to STAR WARS standards in my opinion.

If I had DVD's of all the Star Wars movies lined up on my shelf, this would not be the one I picked to watch. The characters seemed wooden, perhaps because the looked wooden as in carved out of wood. Give me real actors up on the screen or don't call it Star Wars.

first let me start off by saying that i am not a diehard star wars fan. however, i have seen all of the movies. my 6 yr old son wanted to see this after seeing the previews (who doesnt know much about star wars but LOVES action cartoons). i will say that there was a lot of action scenes from beginning to end. my 6 year old was entertained for about an hour and ten minutes. more for kids than adults though. something that did get on my nerves from the very first scene was the animation. and by that i mean when the characters would talk, their mouths did not match up to the words. it drove me nuts! LOL overall, i didnt feel like i had wasted my money because my son enjoyed more than half the movie and i didnt fall asleep :-)

This movie is true to the Star Wars legacy, picking up after Episode II. The action is fast paced, and the dialogue tells the story with lots of humor. Anakin Skywalker is coming into his own here as a Jedi Knight, and he finds that he has to mature. He learns to take responsibility and make the tough decisions, not just show off with his force skills. All of the characters you'd expect are here, and the Clone Wars are fought. Overall, a great film for all Star Wars fans.

Watch the first three movies (per release date) in the series - there is humor in them. These movies were FUN. Twenty years later the next three came out, each one with less and less humor. I took my 8 year old Star Wars fanatic son to see this, and of course, he ate it up and loved it. We have some Star Wars animated DVDs around the house, so an animated story was no shock to us as it might be to adult SW fans. Adults--don't bother. The trailers should have clarified better that this is really pitched to the cartoon crowd, not SW purists. For kids--yes, take your younger kids to it. It's still decent movie fare for young SW fans.

If you watch this movie and realize...it is designed as a cartoon you will enjoy it. The Youngling is refreshing and my Son and I enjoyed it and laughed a lot. I gave it 4 stars for the animation/artistic quality of the film. The story was there, but not as strong as I was expecting so on story alone I would give it 3 stars. But the coloring techniques were amazing (yes I am an art school grad) so defiantely worth seeing on that note.

Both my 9 yr. old and I liked the movie. of course it isn't a true Star Wars movie, but it does a pretty good job of picking up the overall story line of the other movies. We both laughed hearing the droid dialogue. Overall I think it is worth seeing.

Great for the 7 year old boy. A bit much for the Moms. My son loved it so much he wants to go see it again today - that never happens. He also did not make his usual 4 trip to the bathrrom during the movie. He was intrigued.

From the word go, this movie feels wrong. There is no familiar 20th century fox logo, no opening crawl, and no john williams theme music. The animation is glaringly bad, and the voicework is horrible and obviously meant for kids under the age 7 and who haven't seen a REAL star wars film before. Anyone who has any passion for these movies will not be happy with the cheesy plotline, horrible one liners, and overall hacky directing. For the first time in my life I am actually giving a bad review to a star wars movie... ...I hated it. Every second of it and would advise anyone to stay away from it.

I liked the movie and was surprised at the nice pace. Quick action, witty dialogue and the graphics were outstanding, this sets up the tv show quite well. The only drawback per se was the introduction of Ziro the Hutt's voice, where the deuce did that come from? anyway, all in all, I really enjoyed this movie and cant wait for the show

For the truly devoted fans of the Star Wars franchise, this movie is delightful and fun. I enjoyed the updated music, mixing the traditional John Williams themes related to characters, and adding a new mix of World Music. I will see this again in the theatre, and have already bought the soundtrack for my i-Pod. Looking forward to what comes next in the saga. Thanks George!

First of all, I did not go into this thinking that this would in any way resemble my beloved movies. That being said, I actually enjoyed the movie. I do believe this was a kids movie. I saw many little boys sitting on the edge of their seats thourougly engaged in all the action sequences. Pursists should avoid the movie, but take your younglings.

Ok fanboys...time to get a girlfriend and move out of moms basement...I took my son to see this and he loved it...i thought it was very good and served its purpose...its for KIDS and to help kick off the tv series

Overall it was a pretty good movie. The only thing was that it was just a snippet of the entire war, it ran like a television episode of Star Wars rather than a movie episode about Star Wars. However, it is always cool to see Anakin before he became the black tin-can. I highly recommed the movie for great fun and entertainment reasons. If your a Star Wars historian or something geeky, you might be offended at the brief inconclusive nature of the movie.

Just when you thought Star Wars couldn't get any worse than Jar Jar Binks... we meet a "tween" girl Jedi. Hannah Montana with a lightsaber. She's not as frustratingly out of plae as Jar Jar, but her dialogue is more gut-wrenching than any love pledge Anakin ever attempted. Oh, and did I mention the, ahem, "effeminate" Hutt who sounds like Droopy the Dog? The story contributes nothing to the Star Wars mythology, except to create more headaches for fans obsessed with continuity and more toy merchandising lines for George Lucas. Hardcore fans will be disappointed; casual fans will be bewildered; children will be delighted.

Good animated movie that showed Anakin and the rest before they travelled down the road to the dark side; a glimpse of Anakin as a Jedi with great promise. Take it as entertainment and you will like it, compare it to 'A New Hope' and you won't.
