Jensen Ackles (Tom Hanninger) excellent as usual. He is the reason I went to see the film as I am not into horror. Great twist at the end. Only two criticisms : too much of the naked girl and not enough 3D. Would definitely recommend. Might go see a 2nd time if I have time and have already signed up to buy the DVD.

The movie was alright to an extent. The stoyline was crap, and the plot was horrible. Also it was to easy to figure out who the killer was. This movie had way too much blood and gore, and relied on it's ability to go 3-D too much. If you want to see a good movie I will definitly suggest against this title, but if you want to see some cool effects and visual features this movie will be one for you.

I went on a day full of boredom. I didn't really want to see it, I just like movies in 3D. The movie wasn't all that bad. The acting was average, and the scares were corny. But the 3D made it fun, and the plot was tolerable. 3 solid stars.

I am giving this 3 stars because I believe its overrated at this moment. Given that the movie is entertaining I think the 3D effects were terrible. Not only is there a lot of blurrienes on the different 3D levels but there was very few moments were they really used.

Before seeing this movie i did not have much expectations for it. I figured it would be pretty cool since it has it was in 3d and all but i was pretty surprised..
The movie was actually pretty scary. It was suspenseful and the story was really good. There are also twists in it which made it even better and the kills were gory just like everyone likes em!
I definately think everyone who had doubts about this to go see it, its way worth the money and see it 3d not regular 2d!

I believe what happened was 'they' filmed this movie, watched it, scratched their heads and acknowledged that what they had created was, by all accounts, awful and cliche. However, the director/ producers, being the optimists they undoubtedly are, instead of admitting defeat, had the fantastic idea to add a nude chase scene, make the carnage gorily brutal and put it all in 3D.
My advice to you is this: Think of it as a comedy, as the plot is utterly hilarious, get into the moments that make you jump (and there are a good few), and walk out about 10 minutes before it's over. The end is disappointing and the monster is much more interesting before you find out how lame he really is.

First of all I have to say that I knew this movie would be bad, but WOW. The whole thing starts off like EVERY other lame horror movie, and just stays very true to the genre. Nothing but splatter gore,and nudity which are fine as long as something NEW was added, which brings me to the "best 3D technology." I feel cheated out of 13 dollars. I mean I feel that at home on my 50 inch HDTV watching Journey to the Center of the Earth was better!! I thought I would see a scene where the technology was used and would wow me and leave me wanting to see another 3D movie....but no. I actually nodded off a few times in this one no lie. I think this was the worst horror flick I've seen yet. There was nothing scary about it. I know this was a remake of an older movie but, come on. They could've done better than that. Everyone in the theatre was laughing. I viewed the 3D version. Even the 3D effects were not that impressive. They were few and far between. I was very disappointed overall. If you've seen the Original My Bloody Valentine, released in 1981 then this movie makes perfect sense to you. If not, then it moves entirely too fast. I suggest finding an old copy of the original before seeing this one or even watching it afterwards to answer a few questions you may have. The 3d effects were outstanding. The only problem is that you have to be in the middle of the theatre for the desired effect. Also! I saw several children in the audience. Just because it's 3d does NOT mean it's for kids. For it's genre, it was a solid movie. It wasn't a psychological thriller, it was a slasher pic. The plot does get a little slow in the middle, but overall it was a good movie. I love Jensen Ackles. I even own Devour. That should tell you how honest I'm being here. MBV 3D had good moments. It was light on suspense and high on gore. This is NOT a movie for the weak of stomach, but the violence was not “Hostel” or “Saw” level.
Everyone but Betsy Rue struggled with the material. I don't fault them. For the 3D, most of the shots were distance shots, lacking close ups or special lighting/angles that can intensify tone. The leads had to everything and the acting came across as forced because of it.
The 3D tends to be distracting at times. It was better than I expected, but I also want to see it again in 2D, to see if it’s easier to invest myself in the characters without the distraction of effects.

The movie was okay, and I was scared and jumped several times. However, I felt it kept along the same premise as the 80s flicks in that people still react so ignorantly (aka unrealistically) in horror movies. It was much more about the death and dismemberment than about a plot or storyline. But, it was 3D, and that improves your experience just a bit. Not a waste, but it could have been better.

I was really looking forward to this movie. At first I though okay maybe this will suck I will wait for the reviews to pour in, and that they did. A lot of people really liked it, so I went. I don't know how. The 3D hurts your head... there aren't that many great effects... and the acting is just horrible. There isn't even that much blood (some say there is but I didn't think so). 2 stars... wouldn't recommend it.

We thought it was awesome being able to watch an entire movie in 3D, there were a few typical inconsistencies like in typical horror films but the movie was captivating and suspenseful. It was great fun overall.

The movie starts fast, keeps you hoping out of your seat, and even a few laughs along the way. I wish more movies were made in 3D really adds to the movie.
