The 3-D was awful! All the scenes were blurry, except for the 3-D item. There were no surprises to the horror seqyuences, everything was obvious. They obviously spent all the money promoting the film, not in it. Acting was sub-par, at best.

i see all these reviews saying how horrible it was when it really wasn't bad at all! it's a movie called my bloody valentine and it's in 3D. it's not going to be some epic, amazingly written, nomination worthy film lol. however it WAS well written, it was NOT easy to figure out, and the actors did a really great job. if you could just quit overanalyzing things and just sit back and enjoy the movie and the gore and the stuff jumping out at you (there's quite a bit of it), you'll have a pleasant movie-going experience =).

I think it is a great movie for its genre. It reminds me of the Friday the 13th movies. It didn't really scare me but the gore is awesome. I was disappointed by the ending which was fairly predictable.
It was the first of the new 3D movies that i've seen. It doesn't 'jump off the screen' as i expected and is a little choppy where there is a lot of movement but I still think that it is nice.
I definitely recommend this movie to anyone who loves blood and guts horror movies.

Ok, let me first admit two very important truths about myself:
1) I hate scary movies
2) I am a HUGE fan of Jensen Ackles (played Tom), and will therefore see ANYTHING he is in
Overall, I thought this was a pretty decent film. It wasn't as gory as I thought it was going to be, (which I know would ruin it for some), and of course, Jensen Ackles looked dead sexy
The story was sort of compelling, with a twist at the end I had already figured out just from seeing the posters and watching the trailers (but I analyze things too much, so maybe other people will be surprised?). I couldn't keep any of the girls straight, they were all irritating and looked pretty much the same.
3/5 stars - 2 w/o Jensen!

I really enjoyed the movie and the 3D effects were really cool. I liked the goriness , but felt it needed to be scarier. I felt liked they wanted to make it Halloween scary, but it did not happen. If you are a hardcore gore and scary movie person the movie may be too light for you. I tend to get startled easy, but my husband is into the hardcore stuff and he thought it was just okay. I'd still go see it just for the effects.

I think the problem with most people watching a movie is that they think too much into the movie when it is playing, instead of actually "watching" the movie. That is why good movies get bad reviews. For example, someone to evaluate "the scary music monotones have started" thought process. For most of these types of reviewers, they seem to make a review/critique make the movie seem silly or lame when it actually is better than those naysayers. This type of 3d technology is not new, however it really brings out details in a movie that you would not get with a 2d version. For them to implement this into a horror slasher movie is definitely the best way to go. I saw this technology in use at Universal Studios Orlando, now it's closer to home.

Clearly the director tried to lure the kids in to this one... full-nude scenes show *everything*, and lots of delicious girls in the movie show what they've got... but that's about it. The movie is cheezy, obvious, and at best decent in 3D.

The special effects were cool but the movie wasn't scary at all. It was pretty boring and we wound up leaving early. Upset that I spent almost 30.00 to see this.

Digital 3D is a great tool to use in movie making but a better screenplay makes for a better movie.

this movie had too much hype and no follow through ...not enough 3d and not scary at all...sad that we paid so much more for the 3d affect and then were sadly disappointed...movie was easy to figure out and not suspenseful at all...DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY!

I would not bother to see this movie in the 2D version. The movie had it's moments of suspense, and actors did a good job with what they had to work with, but the 3D effects make this movie worth seeing. If you like gore, blood and guts, this movie is for you. 3D all the way!
