This was a wonderful horror movie! It was full of gore and things jumping out at you. It was extra fun to watch it in 3D and I would recommend it to anyone who likes horror movies. The best part by far was Jensen Ackles who played opposite his normal characters and pulled it off spectacularly. I love scary movies so I'm all for this one. 3D is the way to go. A couple of drinks at the bar and a nice seat in the theater, guarenteed to love this flick ! lol. seriously. I didn't find the 3-d effects so great.. It was pretty typical, slightly cheesey, there was one scene in the middle of the night were the girl goes into the woods to the house and when she gets in it is pure daylight, then when she steps out its pitch dark again, that should have been caught by editing some how. The one good thing about the movie is u didn't realize who the killer was til the end.

It was pretty much your average slasher flick with a twist of 3D. That's what made the movie good. Although a lot of the blood & gore scenes were kind of cheesy, having them up in your face because of the 3D feature and not knowing when the killer was going to strike next was pretty suspenseful. It made the experience worth while.

Very effective use of the latest 3D technology. I got more laughs than scares but that is okay with me. I disagree with reviewers who say the use of 3D was limited. It was utilized very well throughout the film and notjust the pick-in-your-nose parts. I realized this film had to made with non-3D viewing in mind for DVD's, etc. (Who knows, maybe it WILL be a 3D DVD.) In this case the movie held up pretty well as an example of it's genre. I would have enjoyed it reasonably well without the 3D but probably wouldn't have seen it otherwise.

If you're looking for a movie that will make you think, or challenge your belief system, then this is not for you. If however you're looking for something fun, gratuitous in terms of 3D effects and gore then this fits the bill. Sure, some of the acting is quite wooden, and there's a few holes in the plot, but overall this is well worth the money to see it in a movie theater in all of it's 3D glory!

The horror movie aspect of this film was pretty much par for your standard slasher flick of the last few years. Some of the acting by the secondaray characters was pretty bad. I thought the use 3-D was pretty good as the 'stuff flying at you' gags, which are usually all you get, were not so prominent until the end. Nothing aside from the 3-D really set this apart from the rest, it was mostly average.

3D was cool, otherwise it's a standard slasher film. Plot is weak, acting tolerable, dialogue laughable in parts, gratuitous nudity at times, very gory kills for the most part and the standard plot "twist" at the end is pretty ridiculous -- in a dumb sort of way. The 3D is really the only redeeming quality. A waste of time otherwise.

the 3d was cool at first and then i started getting a headache from the glasses. also the effects itself they didn't use the 3d efficiently. in certain spots it was not needed. the movie over all was pretty good. very gory. i liked the outcome and the twist to it. too bad they didn't really use the 3d to its max.

The special effects were actually pretty good. As with all campy horror movies, though, many of the scenes were predictable - the girl falling while running from the bad guy; one of the good guys taking the shotgun shells from his gun when the whole audience knew he shouldn't; etc etc. But despite this, the acting was better than average, and there were a few twists that you knew might be coming but which were done fairly well anyway. The end of the movie kept you guessing, which is always a good sign. Overall, probably a 3 1/2 star movie and worth going to see.
