I really enjoyed the movie. It really made me jump a few times lol. The story was good and it had you guessing and on your toes for most of the movie. My only complaint is that i thought that they could have taken more advantage of it being 3D.

So much shlock and garbage in the horror movie "world" these days. That said - It's really hard to tell how much that is influencing my "go and see it" review. I have always liked a well-filmed, well-acted, well-scripted horror flick. They are so "bloody rare". This movie is in the "vein" of so many "shock & slasher" movies of recent years but I enjoyed the 3D effects, the cinematography, the acting - for the most part, the "gore & guts effects" and I liked the "keep you guessing" ending. If you have a general idea about what you are going to see I think you will like this "maniac miner with a pick axe" movie. Be sure you are over 18 and know the genre you are getting into. With that caveat I say - see it.

I thought this movie was pretty good, aside from the not so good plot. This movie was defiently a real thiller from the grusome death, to the nail bitting suspense! It also was the first movie to really show off the power of real D movie's and that not only certain parts of movie can be 3-D but instead most of it can. So this is sure way to a good time and lots of screams.

While this movie has some of the best 3D visuals of 3D movies to date, it isn't that good.
Keep in mind that during the plots of most horror movies, the main characters are made out to be so annoying, that I sometimes find myself secretly rooting for the bad guy. There were only 4 or 5 bloody action 3D sequences, and the rest of the movie had a teenage, "who-dunnit" type of flavor to it. Almost like Scooby-Doo. It was decent, but lacked the kind of "wow" factor that I was hoping it would have. Worth the price of a 3D view.
Oh, and if you are reading this... Keep your 3D glasses on and stay until the end of the credits for a little extra something.

I’d hoped for teeth clenching, jumping and being slightly grossed out. I wasn’t disappointed with the effects but that's pretty much what the movie was. There weren’t points that made me cringe or jump. For the thrill-factor the movie fell short of my expectations. Still, there were some pretty horrific scenes which made up for much, particularly with the 3D display. As a slasher flick I'd give this 3 stars but 2 main points took away from it for me - the awkward attempts at plot twists and the acting of Jensen Ackles. When trying to look angry he tried too hard which looked silly and his attempt at shock/fear made him look like his brain runs slower than a frontal-lobotomy recipient. If going… see this in 3D so you can enjoy that much.

Remake or not, this movie was just terrible, don't see it. Bad acting, bad direction, bad special effects, stupid nude scenes -- and a terrible story. I only went because of the "3-D" title in front of "horror." You typically don't get those two in the same sentence; why not pay 12$ for it then? Wrong; this movie was absolutely ridiculous. No room for a story, because of the entirety of the picture being -- killing with an pick. I mean, come on, are you kidding me? I wanted to see this also, because of Ackles (who does a tremendous job in Supernatural.) He actually sucks the big one in this picture -- and plays a terrible part. Save your money for something else -- not enjoyable indeed.

My Bloody Valentine 3D is a very fun movie that channels the spirit of the 1980s slasher very well. The 3D aspect isn't much of a gimmick but definitely adds a layer of entertainment to it. GREAT MOVIE!!! Non stop massacre and mayham from start to finish. I think the opening sequence has got to be 1 of the goriest in history. Definitely not for the faint of heart. A lot of changes from the original but still a great story. If you a a horror fan then this is a must see. I don't know why we can't watch every movie in 3D? It's such an experience enhancement.

This movie would have still rocked in 2d. The 3d just made it amazing! Best slasher flick I've seen in awhile. Had all the characteristics of a great horror movie-brutal murders, frightening setting, scary villan, naked chicks, dark alleys and lots of blood! Kept viewers guessing til the end, the 3d effects kept me jumping in my seat. Not a dull moment!

Although I spent a decent amount of time saying "this is soooo bad" and "ugh, I hate this movie"- the 3D is awesome! Otherwise, it's one of those really bad movies that you've never heard of that comes on late at night on cable, with some of the worst acting ever seen (Jamie King, I'm looking at you!), and the worst dialog ever spoken ("Well Happy F^%@*ing Valentine's Day"), that you make fun of with your friends the next day and mock for perpetuity.

The movie plot itself was so-so, typical for a modern day horror movie... but what made this movie stand out among all those that I have seen was the 3-D!! Fantastic. Made the movie worth-while.

Wow, for a remake AND a horror movie, this one hit it out of the park. Very rare for me to like new horror movies these days. The story was changed just enough from the original to make it seem MORE original, but not too much to make it unrecognizable. And at least one key scene from the original was included, in a different way, but oh so satisfying. Making it an R rating completely saved it. A PG-13 tweener movie would have ruined it, just like so many others these days. The 3-D was excellent. Not just the in your face fun stuff, but the whole look and feel of the picture. If you want horror, suspense, and a surprise or two to make you cringe, this is it. Go see My Bloody Valentine. I just may return myself...
