This movie was really good. The special effects and the great death scenes really looked great. They used the 3-D effects to the fullest when they did use it. The only thing that i didn't like is that about a fourth of the way into the movie they forgot to to add anything more to the plot. It seemed as though to me they forgot to add plot to the movie instead of just blood and guts. ALSO, they weren't true to the original story. It left a lot of people going "so why (this, that and the other thing)?" they left a lot of little details out that really added to the story and tied everything in together. All in all its a fair movie. Not something id go and see again but I'd suggest it to another. I can appreciate slasher movies like this.

This movie was downright awful, and even the 3D gimmick didn't save it. There were only a few scenes where the 3D effect was sort of neat, but if you saw the regular format of the movie, you wouldn't be missing anything. Save your money and skip the 3D listings, or better yet, don't go see the movie at all.
When you finally get to the payoff of the movie and you find out who the killer is, the movie then flashes back to each scene you saw previously, to show how it really was that person. It makes zero sense because they change the outcomes of the scenes.
Stupid ending and horrible acting, but sadly this movie will make tons because of the gimmick.

I don't think anyone who went to this movie went there to actually see a great film. I think most people just expected a cool 3D thriller that you don't get to see very often, and that's pretty much what it was. In terms of acting, directing, writing, and originality, this thing was pretty terrible...but, with the 3D gimmicks, the unnecessarily up front nudity, and the brutal killings, it was definitely entertaining and fun to watch. The 3D parts of it were pretty awesome, but they fell short of expectations, and the movie was sometimes blurry with the glasses on.
In short: go see it in theatres if you're curious about the 3D aspect or you're easy to please.

The 3-D in this movie was awesome! Usually 3D movies give me a headache after a while, but this was done very well. The movie itself was alright plot-wise... the dialogue was awful and poorly acted, but I suppose that's not what the audience is looking for in a gory, bloody movie. Very suspenseful, and the score was very good. Some of the effects looked fake. Overall an okay movie.

MBV3D is a crowd pleaser. The action is well-paced, and the downtime isn't boring because it is used to explain the plot more. The 3-D aspect is completely necessary for this movie to be enjoyed, however, because it is used in all of the right places. I would not want to be stuck seeing this without having the sharp end of a pick ax pointed at me. There were only a few cheap jump scares that didn't scare me in the least - they were more of an annoyance. The ending welcomes a sequel, and I expect one, but I've also seen this ending in more than one recent horror film - it's textbook stuff. I would recommend you see this in 3-D only, to get the full experience, and appreciate the movie for what it is... pure entertainment.

My Bloody Valentine 3D was an awesome movie. Ackles and Smith's performances were great. It had just the right amount of gore and story mingled together and the 3D effect just made it....great. I'd recommend it if you like the horror movie genre.

Did not see in 3D but the movie was a very good slasher/Horror movie. The nude girl scene was a little too much for the movie,it could have been her in some kind of loose robe or ? All the slashing was good but a few were over done. The 1st hospital scene was not realistic unless it was a small clinic type place. This is totally a slasher-type film. The 3D blasts, although not constant, was quite fun when it did occur which is why this is a fun-type date movie. The scenery was quite nice as well. There was one quite funny scene in a motel that definitely made for some good classic cheesy horror movie laughs. Don't expect Oscar quality drama though!

First lest start with what I really liked about the movie. The 3D was killer! There was this part with an eyeball that lets just say is nasty and cool all at the same time. Some of the best nude horror scenes ever. Now let me say a little about the not so good part of the movie. I wasn't scared at all. I had the whole movie figured out about 10 minutes in and the acting was rotten. I would tell people to see it just to see the 3D part of the movie because that was very cool but if it didn't have that I would say pass and wait for the DVD

Strong language at times but not all that bad. For people considering bringing younger children there is a strong scene somewhat close to the begining that also includes full frontal nudity of a woman.(they also chase this woman around for a little bit) I noticed a couple parents a little uncomfortable. All in all it was a decent slasher movie but nothing to go nuts over.

Overall I give the movie a 3 our of 5. The story line was very cheezy, the acting was a little obvious, and had the feel of a "B" movie. But like a lot of people I had talked to in line to see the movie, we were there for the effects. Bloody Valentine used a new technology called REAL-D. I was quite impressed. I guess I thought it was going to be the same stuff I used to see when I was a kid where you got the glasses that were blue on one lens and red on the other. Definately go see it...well worth the money.

It was ok. I was psyched to see this in 3D, but to be honest, the 3D could have been better with the way they had it comming out. The plot line was kind of shaky, but at least it had one. A couple of good things were the twist towards the end, and the effects (blood & guts) were the best I have seen in a horrer movie in a while. I do love Jensen Ackles, he needs to be in more movies. I am a huge fan of Supernatural. He does however need to keep the same type of role as in Supernatural, it suites him very well, and is entertaining to watch like that.
Overall, I would not see this in the theatres again, personnaly a waste of $26 for 2 people, but I would rent it.

3D always makes a movie experience more intense. My Bloody Valentine is the first 3D horror movie I've seen since the 70's. (The Mask and The Creature from the Black Lagoon) There is no waiting for gore in this movie. Within the first 5 minutes there's blood, guts, severed limbs and more. Not like Hostile where they build the movie up for an hour and then the last half hour is the gore. The 3D and gore saved this movie because the realism was not up to par. I give it 4 stars for the fun factor.

Im a huge horror movie fan. I came into this movie expecting alot and I left satisfied. Of course like most horror movies it has a little buit of cheesiness to it but the story line wasnt actually that bad..The movie even made me jump a couple of times. And usually they mess up the ending and I have to say that they actually did a good job with the ending. You should go see it..its pretty entertaining.

I am not a slasher fan typically but I thought this movie was creative and fun. Don't expect an oscar worthy cast or script but if you want a fun night out with your sweety you wont be disappointed.

Stylistically great, artistically beautiful, and will make you jump out of your seat numerous times. This movie is really a well done modern movie experience. The only issue I had was the ending was a bit of a cop-out. Other then that great experience all around

If you are looking for a contemporary B movie that will turn your stomach. This is a good one for you. It's 3-dimensional view of the world of a serial killer enhanced my perspective of this slasher film. I enjoyed the low budget production with an emphasis on blood and guts. Over all its fits perfectly into the poor acting, over dramatic, and exploitive nudity "B" movie category.

Movie was pretty good. Acting was sometimes laughable. Worst part was the overflow of people that couldn't get into Notorious, and you know who you are. When was it ever "cool" to be loud in a theater? Isn't that the #1 rule? Oh well, ya can't say anything because bullets will start flying. But honestly, you should go see the movie. It will give your wife or girlfriend the creeps for days!
