Mildly funny must of the time. Kevin James sweet smile and amiable nature combined with "should have been fired" situations makes this movie a lot of fun. Very simple, pretty predictable but just good family film making.

If you like juvenile humor (a la Adam Sandler, Will Farrell, or... well, Kevin James) you'll like this movie. I intended to wait for it to come out on DVD, but it was a lot of fun to see on the big screen. Personally, I get enough drama, thrills & horror in everyday life & in the news. I just wanted to see something silly that made me laugh w/out having to think about it, & this movie delivered. Sure, the plot was weak & contrived, but it was a cute story. It ain't high art, folks, nor does it try to be; so if you need to see a "fine film" or an Academy-Award winner, just go see "that" kind of movie & don't try to compare the two. This movie does not misrepresent itself; it is simply a goofy, corny, cheesy, mindlessly entertaining movie.

This is a funny family comedy that simply is what it is. Actually it was better than I anticipated which is why I put off seeing it for so long. Academy Awards weekend and there are "slim pickins" when it comes to new releases so I relented and took the plunge. Hey - I laughed out loud pretty good a few times and the rest of the movie is harmless. If you are going to this movie expecting something different - Why? Why would you go in the first place for Pete's sake? An enjoyable and funny 87 minute diversion. Take the kiddos, grab Gramps & Gramma, stop for pizza and then see this flick. It will be a nice evening for everyone!

I took my 4 year old and 3 teenage nephews and they all loved this movie. When we left they were all imitating the movie. Anyone would love this movie with all the stress we deal with it helps to get away and just laugh.

It was the best movie I saw that night. That's about all I can say for Paul Blart. Kevin James has a good presence, but the movie tried to be serious at times, and while the funny stuff was funny, it wasn't that funny.

Long beginning to get to the main part of the movie where the real action begins and what everyone is pretty much waiting for. But the continual references from a night out having a good time gone wrong isn't really something I think fits in a family comedy... or the ramifications of a binge and certain body art. Great music & Kevin James is a funny guy -- goofy and charming, but also came up slapstick. Just clean good laughs...I took my son and 3 of his friends 12years old...reviews did not give it the justice it earned...I applaud writers, actors,and everyone connected to film...thanks for giving us a movie we are comfortable seeing with our kids...wonderful job!!!Funny, great story line!!
